State of the Malunion - Silly Rabbit

I Googled "medical transcription quality India" and received 671,000 results to choose from.  Indian companies are courting hospitals, doctors, and law firms in America and several other countries in order to get their business. American MTSOs that don't outsource really need to publicize it and American based transcriptionists would do well to show their solidarity by working for such companies.  It is not just MQ.  The industry is apparently wounded in the water and sharks from all over the world are coming in to snag the carcass.  We must become more competitive and better informed about the ways of the corporate world if we are to survive in this profession.  When I started as an MT, it was an honorable profession ran by men and women of professional integrity who took pride in their reputation, their work and their word.  This is largely no longer the case and we must think of ways to survive in what has become a cut-throat professional environment.  Sadly, the persons of most value to the profession, the transcriptionists, are the most treacherously treated as we seem to be little more than expendables of late.  ANY AMERICAN BASED COMPANIES THAT DO NOT OUTSOURCE.  PLEASE LET US KNOW VIA MT BOARDS AND/OR ADVERTISING OF ANY KIND.
