Off-shore - What??

Our work is going offshore faster than you can imagine. According to posts, I see we are wondering about the lack of work, in many cases for over a year. We are behind in getting info on this. Google off-shore transcription or any words that will get you the info. The information is plentiful. Many articles state the hospitals are unaware that work is going off shore. They just dictate, assume it goes to a central system in the states and we sit behind our desks and have so much work we can hardly keep up. Happy I put myself out of my misery wondering and will put more effort into figuring what line of work I would now like to be in. I have many more years to work.

I live in a town of approximately 100,000 with more in outlying communities. I wrote a letter to the editor of our paper last month. It was well worded and factual. They never printed it. So much for that venue.

Did they call you to confirm? - You need to bug them and

ask why they didn't publish. I had to call at least 10 times before my paper published my letter.

Dont give up after 1 rejection! Even the best books, articles - and movie scripts sometimes get rejected - sm

the first time out. I believe even the 1st Harry Potter book was rejected by the first publisher they were taken to.

If that newspaper wasn't interested, try another one. Make sure your letter wasn't too LONG (that's always my problem... too wordy!) Try news reporters... better still, try to find an INVESTIGATIVE reporter/journalist. This story is labor-intensive in the amount of legwork it will take to get to the facts to check them so that they can be published.

Try local talk radio. Print and post your letter on a prominent bulletin board. Write a letter directly to the CEO of a hospital that you know is having its work offshored. The list of things you can do is endless.

JUST DON'T GIVE UP.

There is a petition here http://wh.gov/XbqE about stopping off-shoring jobs. I saw it on facebook, and it would apply to MT, I think. They need 150 signatures for it to be put on the White House website. If our jobs were back here and not sent to other countries, maybe we could finally work and get paid enough to survive - kind of like in the "good old days." ...
