Upset Nuance MT....so ready for a change. Never thought I would want to leave when it was OSi but with Nuance....I'm chomping a the bit

I've been with them for 5 months. Hate it. Can't make any $$. Getting ready to quit and find something else to do.

I was there for a year...left just when they started to implement their latest incentive program. I had they had some legal issues going on too.

I worked for OSi for almost 8 years. I made a decent wage and then Nuance changed everything. I held on for 4-5 months and couldn't come to terms with the slave wages and lack of communication. Nuance seems to think they can buy up all the transcription companies and change the industry (so far their doing it) for big profits. It was time for me to get out of the business. When my 17-year-old son makes more money at Papa John's working part time than I can make with Nuance, it's time to rethink this career choice.
Cant get past the fact you're stuck at 0.0413 cents - no matter what ; no chance for raise.

so unfair, considering MTs are the ones producing those lines that bring in their profits.
I know they do more than just transcription, but the revenue MTs bring in is of hefty significance and the pay is an insult.
Makes you wonder if they ever thought about who would edit their work if there were no MTs? and what a mess it would be.
The pay is depressing.

It is a sad situation. work twice as hard to get what you did typing.

In fact, instead of working right now, I'm looking at this. Also looked at Facebook and employment websites for when I move. This job does not pay me enough to care anymore. In fact, today I feel like calling in "sick". Screw this and screw these companies. They reap in megabucks but pay us crap wages. And the incentive plan is a joke.
it's hard to excited about this job when the pay sucks. - mt2

Stuck between a rock and a hard place - starving MT

I really want to find something else, pray for it everyday but I am really stuck right now. I am the only bread winner in the family and have my kids to think of. A lot of other issues to boot. And to beat it all when you get a sorry score on a QA check, from offshore to beat it all, and I am challenging it believe me, it just makes it that much worse.....feel like crying all the time
Which is why I can't wait to quit. - mt2

My husband has income so it's not just me. Used to be and I busted my butt to keep our heads afloat. Now I'm over this entire field. I'm suppose to be working right now but after a dozen reports, I could throw this computer across the room. Instead, I'm calling it a day. Fire me. I don't give a *$%^. I feel sorry for those who need this job to pay their bills. Seriously, you'd make better money working elsewhere. It'd be better for your mental health too.

Finger Pain Jun 25, 2010Hi, everyone. I'm sure that this is a common problem in the transcription field, but I was hoping someone had some sort of remedy. I've been typing every day for the past couple of weeks about 9 hours a day and one of my fingers (the one I use for the Backspace key) is really starting to hurt every time I push down on it. It's right at the second knuckle on the digit and it's starting to become problematic.
Any suggestions from more experienced MTs?
Thanks. ...

Feel The Pain Jul 14, 2012Wow, what a day! We had our conference call today regarding our hospital outsourcing to M-Modal. I had come on this forum to ask honest and serious questions from former and/or current M-Modal MTs. I was able to at least voice my opinion today that I did not believe what M-Modal was saying would be what ...
