Help with understanding QC% - Lyn

Wow! I kinda wish I came across these posts about Nuance before I started working for them a few months ago! I have had good luck so far with QA scores between 99-99.6%, but this week, unless I get at least 2 more 100% postaudit jobs (which I doubt), I will not be so fortunate :(

But, I am still extremely lost on QC% and how that is calculated. I cannot get a straight answer other than it is system generated weekly from my TSM. I wish I could find out what factors are involved in the calculation, so I can monitor that. I found a post about keeping track of line count of job being sent to QC before and then after. Can anyone help a girl out????

Also, on Fiesa, I see that I got a QC1 audit on a job I uploaded directly to the client. Shouldnt that be a postaudit?

QC% is percent of lines sent. If you sent 50 lines to QC and did a total of 250 lines for the week, you'd be at 20% QC. If you sent 100 lines and did 1000 lines total, you'd be at 10%. Make sense?

Your QA score theory may be off, too. You can't really say where you'd be with 2 more 100% post-audit jobs, as it depends on the number of LINES in those jobs, not the number of jobs themselves.

Hope this is at least a start on the info you're asking.

Don't waste your precious time trying to understand anything these people do. You can never win with them!

I can't think of any other job where so much work is unpaid and off the clock. I don't try and figure out any of it, don't request reversals, don't look at Fiesa, etc. Why bother? It really doesn't matter in the end.

Refer to summation on 2015-03-01 starts...The scores on QC - do not mean a thing.

I am trying to get a grasp on understanding HIPAA. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find "easy-to-understand" HIPAA rules? Does anyone understand why they take off an entire point for a lab value that is 1 point off? Such as a glucose level of 230 and is transcribed 231? This doesn't effect patient safety or treatment. I can understand a discrepency that is a significant difference or would change treatment. This is a minimal error and should be graded accordingly. ...
