HEENT/HENT crap - ss

When I requested reversal over getting gigged on this I spelled my thoughts out pretty thoroughly but don't know how far up the chain of holiness that goes.

Has anyone else shot off their opinions on this? Hoping if we get enough of us to make an issue they might reverse this idiotic ruling.

I know how I would feel if I were the doctor or receiving person printing out the report on the other end (my reaction would be WTF?).

I really hope someone from the facility has a word with these jerks from QA, it really is appalling.

I also was quite terse in my assessment of this blatant attempt at extreme nitpicking, I believe my TSM tacitly agreed, but she informed me it had happened before, so really it's the higher upper approver QA people that are the bad actors here, they should know better.

I did have an instance where there were two blanks for ROS and PE, both of which had HEENT/HENT blanks, and then I had another blank.

I actually guessed then, played it really slow and since it did actually sound like HENT, though there was nothing specific afterwards and I looked at prior dictator reports and they were all HEENT. I figured if they got me on that one I would really know it was an outright sham.

I refuse to send one of those to QA though unless there are a bunch more blanks, not going to get that percentage to QA thing too high because of HEENT/HENT nonsense.

You do not submit to QA. No one does, you submit to QC, and these are entirely different entities, people, and have remarkably different effects on your QA scores...

From now on, I am blanking HEENT/HENT any time I am not 100%, absolutely, positively sure of what the doctor says. Especially if they don't say anything at all (which is the usual). This is utter ridiculousness and I am not going to risk a QA (or QC or whatever it is!)'s subjective opinion about whether a dictator said (or meant) one E or two! What's next? About this monitoring crap. Why aren't the docs monitored? Why do we have to change our ways and they don't have to. On ASR there are a couple of docs who dictate in the "wrong order" and I have to move everything around, cut and paste, do the caps thing, etc. Almost all of them dictate in the order of the standard headers. I just love all these minor errors of missing an - "of" or "a" at 0.25. This does not change the meaning of the sentence, and I bet if you put them in when they are NOT there, you would get marked off for that too. So, I am working on MQ computer and wanted to ask a question on MTstars and before you know it, a virus started downloading. I freaked out and tried to stop the virus from scanning. I quit in early 2014 because there was a sudden switchover of doctors in the acct I was typing, and they were the worst I've ever encountered. The sound quality was atrocious at Nuance. It was like scraping the bottom of the barrel. I work for a different company now that doesn't make you jump through stupid FIESA hoops, etc, and it's nice.
