California employees, please file a wage claim. The DLSE was very interested in all the nonproduction time we spend and stated Nuance needs to change their policies, but they haven't made any changes since specifically being made aware. I overheard that there are a few other cases, but I urge everyone to file. It's free and you are protected by the anti-retaliation laws.

I hope you can nail this devil company to the wall. You need to get the word out more than on MTStars; try Facebook. I don't know how that would exactly work, but MTStars is just the tip of the iceberg for MTs. Again, good luck. I applaud your efforts.

I'd classify some of those grammar errors as critical.

Or are you talking about all the time we spend filling in and checking patient info, and manually entering cc info (which also isn't being included in the line count).

When I worked in house at the local hospital, we were given 2 hours paid downtime for those tasks so that time did not get included in our lph calculation.

I wouldn't limit this to California, though I understand the original poster is speaking specifically from that experience. I have done something similar in Oregon. They were not that helpful, but we keep speaking up.

I live in an at-will state, not a right to work state.

So being at will, I do suspect that were I to file a complaint, I would also shortly afterward be filing for UE.

For those of you that got a 'check' are you still working for Nuance?

CA is also an at-will state but an employee also - cannot be retaliated

This is true...another transcription company that Nuance took over had a class action suit and lost due to not paying people for work while on the "clock". This whole production time thing is a BS way to get around paying people for work they do when they are not actually typing...i.e. doing research or emailing QA with blank info etc. and it is illegal not to pay people for their time..according to wage and hour.

I was just curious about what employees thought of Nuance on Glassdoor. You read several US employee opinions and they reflect the morale listed on MTStars. Scroll further down and read the opinions of the transcriptionists from India. What a difference. They are highly satisfied with their jobs and most have been working with Nuance for 6 to 7 years. I know exactly what you mean but I dont know the exact wording so now I have to go back and look at old reports and try and figure it out..and then make a shortcut for it cause you always talk like a dumbass...If you would talk like a human you would find your reports get done faster and more accurately.. Do they realize that we type over 100 different doctors on any given day or do they really think we are their personal transcriptionists..Someone needs to tell them how to talk..These companie ...

After working for about 24 hours on the account I was audited, failed at 98.1% and immediately put on 100% QA at which point I quit. I cannot believe this decision. Amazon forces their employees to wait in line to check if they are stealing stuff but will not pay them the half hour extra it takes.
