geesh! I swear there is a promotion every day

I have been with Medquist for 8 years. I was an MT, then an MME, and finally QA. I have applied for QA Team lead as well as supervisor, manager and pretty much anything else that I think I am qualified for and I never even get an answer or acknowledgement that they received my application. I just want a promotion to a job where I don't type so much, I get paid more, and I have an hourly rate instead. Any suggestions on degrees, credentials, certification, etc. ...
