How can I show proof of employment with MedQuist from back in the mid 1990s to early 2000s? I need exact dates of employment; unfortunately, I don't have a personal record and cannot remember. Thanks for any help with this.

Job verification number will only verify your work history IF you were classified as PT or FT. I worked for MedQuist for 12 years, but they will only verify the last two, during which I was reclassified as PT. I worked as an independent contractor for my first 10 years at MQ, and now I have a gap of 10 years that I need to explain on my resume. Spoke to HR at MedQuist about this before they merged with MModal, and they claim they have no records of my independent contractor days and therefore will not verify 10 years during which I worked exclusively for them!

Unfortunately, the company where I'm applying wants dates (exact date of start, end), which I cannot begin to guess about from that long ago. Good old hindsight--I should have kept good records but I did not. Thanks.

Do you have copies of tax returns for those years? Info would be there, I think.

look under employee summary to see if it shows the different times that you worked for them.
