what's worse, we get nasty e-mails saying people aren't working their hours. It's definitely a one way street here. They don't care if we are sitting here during our appointed hours to work with nothing to type and get paid for a lousy 15 minutes. Why is it okay for them to slack off and not us?

Last week I was told by my boss that I could not flex my shift to do at school with one of my kids, but I am expected to sit here all day and all night for them and flex when we have no work. I am so over this place. They are the worst, but they get away with it because they are big and buy everyone else they are in competition with.

I wait 15 mins and if there is no work - I leave for the day

I do the same. I actually make more $ taking PTO than struggling with much of the junk that comes through ASR anymore. So I'm better off, taking off if NJA.

I spend the 15 minutes straightening up my office, checking email, etc. If a report comes in I punch in and do it and then punch out and start the 15 minute clock again. As soon as I get 15 minutes without work I file a Remedy ticket, add work availability to my time card and leave. They don't pay us enough to sit and babysit our accounts. 15 minutes of minimum wage is a pathetic policy, I would rather take PTO or make up the time.

Ours makes us add our own work availability to the time card (the 15 minutes when we run out of work). That is all that MModal has to pay me for an entire day of no work- 15 minutes of my state's minimum wage (the legality of that policy in my mind is a big question mark). Some CCMS will add it to the timcards for their employees, ours make us do our own.

I always have to make up my time or take PTO because I am FT with benefits and my CCM has threatened to cut my benefits if I don't hit 39, either with PTO or working. I don't think that is legal either.

I clock in 5 to 10 minutes early every other day when I have those NJA days so I can at least get the 39 hours so I won't have to use it for PTO if at all possible. I like to save the PTO for sick days or vacation days if at all possible, just according to how many hours of NJA. I have clocked in 30 minutes early a few times and that is according to your CCM.

I'm not a newbie and I have 98 hours of PTO. the problem is when to use it. I had to work yesterday and there was, as stated, no work. CCM's "calendar" fills up quickly and trying to get a Monday or Friday off is near impossible.

This must be another cost saving measure. Something is really up with this.

You can only roll over 40 hours and there is no way in 5 months you earned another 58 hours.

I live in California and when I was full time, I could roll over more hours than 40, don't remember how many.

Indian MTs are being started at $40/week which is not a living wage even in India. At that rate, MM can go through many layers of QA in India and still spend much less than they would using Americans. Here's the deal...my company says if/when you work a holiday, they will give you the equivalent hours in PTO to use later on (you work 8, you get 8 PTO). I checked with my state's DOL, and they said absolutely incorrect. You must be an exempt salaried employee for them to do this. They must pay regular employees cash money.
