When I transcribed at a hospital one of the doctors was quietly laughing when reading a report I put in his mailbox. Later I saw I typed "the patient noticed blood in the toilet bowel."

Are u talking about the Bud Light Mango-Rita's? I just luv those - have you tried the raspberry one - like it, too! I'm really not a heavy boozer - like you like to have 1 after work - 2 would do me in - ha!

I finally found another job besides MM to make up for down time and NJA. That way, I just log on and do my shift. If I have gaps without work, I do my other job; it is very flexible BTW. I could care less what they say or do, even if they fire me, I need to make money, I am not working for my health and what I do need for my health is my PTO time and not squander it on NJA. So chill me a glass, I am almost there! Happy Friday!

Is this other job one from home, too - transcription or non-transcription? I'm "flexible part-time" with MM, but there's nothing flexible about it - at least like it used to be back in the day - sigh!

Yes it is a MT position as an IC! I do clinic notes and so the TAT is something like 48 hours. It is a great job, in fact, I consider it my primary; MM is just for insurance and a pittance of PTO.

Recently I started getting emails from Catherine Miller, advertising jobs and/or MT courses. I did at one time subscribe to her services, about 4 or 5 years ago, but cancelled because they were pretty much useless, and I can find work on my own. For those of us old enough to remember the Mitch Miller sing along -- doesn't VR kind of remind you of that? I work in Escription and the Alt-K that moves you along with the text is kind of like that old bouncing ball - except the notes and the lyrics are all wrong -- LOL. I had a new PA today who was not recognized by VR and had to do straight typing and I averaged 225 lph, compared to my usual 250-300 with VR, except got paid much more for it. It has been inconvenient, and maybe a bit confusing at times, to check my time card hours for my shift as, because of my time zone, part of my hours show up on the next day because I work 2nd shift. I wonder if I will get overtime for yesterday, even though I did not work overtime. Ever since they have changed Schedule Source and now it has a display called today's activity with "actuals" hours, this has not matched the hours shown with the time clock punches and is less than the hours according to the clock punch. Does anyone care to share that if you are hired at optiscript part time will they let you change to full time easily? I know they are a small company and do not over hire so I do not know how easily this could be done.
