Idle time - curious

If I proofread and don't use the cursor as I go or the audio, is that counted as idle time? Not that I care just wondering

I wonder too - so i toggle my lf/rt arrow keys constantly

While I am reading a report and have to make no changes (yeah, right, but when I do) I simply keep clicking the left and right arrow keys constantly; that counts as a key stroke and if it messes with their statistics, more the better but at least they have keystroke action recorded on me. I do not know if this makes a bit of difference, just something I do.

The system only tracks keystrokes so if you are not pressing keys, it racks up as idle time. When I did mentoring, I specifically asked about this and that's when I found out about the keystroke thing. My idle time is really really high and I was getting crap for it during mentoring. I don't care what my idle time is because my line counts are way above and beyond quota, and that's what I told her. If their ASR every gets its crap together and we don't have to edit so much, idle time won't mean a thing (I know, wishful thinking about ASR).

I just checked my stats and in 8 hours I had under 5 minutes of idle time so it must only count when the audio is not playing.

This came directly from my QC just this morning:

When you finish a report and send it in and your page switches to showing you the next 2 reports in your queue and your report history, that stops the clock, and it begins again when you download your next report.

The clock is ONLY active when you are actively INSIDE of a report. As long as you take your breaks in that space between reports, your break will not be counted as "idle time".

I guess you're saying that you clock in and out of TeamWork while you're sitting there with 2 rpts sitting in your queue? Because if it's not counting you as being logged on it must not count toward your production time for the week. Why not just log off if you have to clock out anyway so you're not holding up rpts? Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

I don't see 2 reports in the queue. After a job is uploaded, I see just the job to be downloaded and I see the history underneath. Don't see a second job in the queue.

On the top left-hand corner I see the 2 rpts sitting there. The 2nd one may not show up immediately if the 1st one is long because the 2nd one won't show up until the audio has downloaded for the 1st one.

Our TSM said we only get 1 job in our queue - because it speeds up

TAT. She said some people were taking too long with 1 job and it was holding up the second job & it needed to be freed up for someone else. I think the ILPs still get 2 jobs, though.

It must be different for different BOBs or TSMs as I get 2 in my queue at a time and I'm in the US. A long time ago they tried only putting 1 job in the queue at a time but I think that was before the last upgrade, for me anyway. I guess it's different for different people. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

It has been inconvenient, and maybe a bit confusing at times, to check my time card hours for my shift as, because of my time zone, part of my hours show up on the next day because I work 2nd shift. Ever since they have changed Schedule Source and now it has a display called today's activity with "actuals" hours, this has not matched the hours shown with the time clock punches and is less than the hours according to the clock punch. Does anyone care to share that if you are hired at optiscript part time will they let you change to full time easily? I know they are a small company and do not over hire so I do not know how easily this could be done. My company was honest and upfront when we started using ChartNet. They told us that once you enter a report for VR, the time clock does not actually start for 60 seconds.
