the mandatory overtime if stated, but I will not work "I would like" or if overtime is otherwise approved. I would like too the 50% of my income I've lost over the past 6 years.

Any one understand that Coefficient Overtime pay? It certainly was not worth working 8.5 hours mandatory OT and now they want more.

I showed my Coefficient OT to my husband and the way they calculate it. He explained that the Co-OT category on the paystub is just your 1/2 time pay for the time and a half and the other part is in your lines pay (hope that makes sense). They do not separate your regular time and your total OT. I worked once 7 hours OT and that Co-OT was $35 thinking that was all I made, but it was actually $5/hour PLUS regular lines produced in those 7 hours, but they don't show that. By no means am I backing these people up at all. It is frustrating when you bust your butt and you see that $35 for Co-OT. They need to show us on our paystub our total OT with our actual time and a half in that category.

it doesn't really matter where it is recorded. Since we are paid by production for the majority of it, I don't know why you would expect them to separate that out. That is kind of ridiculous.

Then the doctors will see full blown errors and crap reports rather than the ones we do to offset their bad..People, like you, that accept the status quo are not doing any of us any good.

My transcription job was always paid by the hour. I was laid off and they recently offered me a temp position with them making $12.00 an hour. I was also offered a positon that pays 7.5 and 3.5 cpl. The $12.00 is employee status for a small local company I worked for over 9 years. The other is an IC position. Do you think I would make more with the $12.00 an hour or the per line production rate? Well, let me think about this....I just checked Fiesa and I have two 100% reports in there. I'm normally off Thurs/Fri. So if I just don't work anymore chances are good I will stay right at that 100%. I assume that the MT companies set up a contract with the client for them to pay on a per-line basis. Of course, they charge more than they pay us; that's how they make their money & that's fine. When I get partial dictation reports on EditScript where you don't have to do anything in regards to header/demographics, my speed in terms of lines per hour is almost twice as fast. When there are so many new worktypes with new MT Instructions, the speed goes way down. When the header shows no medical record number and I have to enter in demographics what speaker dictates, the speed goes way down.
