Why vent here? Do some good and swamp the HDSM and others - with emails. Vents here wont fix anything. SM

And I know many of you think MM wont fix anything, but not trying for sure will get us nowhere. You know what they say about the squeaky wheel.

If you swamp MM with emails, at least they know we are paying attention and banding together.

Really, we should ALL do this. Easy enough, not a big time issue to do this. But what kind if issue will it be for MM to get, hopefully, thousands of emails a day about Fluency issues. What kind of effect will this have?

But how will we know if we don't try? If you give up before the battle, you have lost the whole war. A few clicks from us and all those emails showing up in management email. It is an interesting thought

My company email, if I have over 500 emails, I cannot go to the next page. I wonder if cooperate emails have that feature.

HDSM just feeds the line "it will learn if everyone would get on the 'same page' editing". Ha! When I look at jobs done by other people, 99% of the time we are all editing/correcting the same things the same way! Then, HDSM says, well if ASR was perfect, we wouldn't have a job. Like that is going to happen (perfect ASR). When I have asked both the HDSM and IT to correct a persistent spelling error, they say they can't do that directly, it can only be done through the ASR training. Well, before IT went to the ILP, you could do that. Lazy? Wrecked the ASR program and it can't be done anymore?

So much of the output looks like ILP it had been edited by an ILP ((certain country). Also, they seemd to have programmed some output to be automatic.

And when I have approached IT with an ASR output problem, they always seem to think it is a problem with my copy of the program and reinstall the program! Really??? That doesn't make sense and, of course, doesn't change anything.

Who's training this thing! Lots of regression to "untrained" output and leaving out clear dictation. I also find it horrid that it inserts text according to the output earlier in the report. All in all, too frustrating.

Should have to be straight typed, no ASR..they are wrong a lot and you if you arent careful you will hear what you see. I leave values blank a lot because I cant say for sure what number they are saying.

Now the numbers are SO wrong and it does not put commas in either. Something it should have been well trained to do by now! Although, some people may be so sick of adding the commas that they just leave it, although I don't know how they could pass audits if they do that. It seems that a lot of the time 8 is now output as zero and zero as 8. I too am leaving blanks in lab values as seeing some numbers and with the bad audio, I get confused and unsure of the number. So, leave a blank and save my butt!

I am so surprised we haven't had clients complaining about the number of blanks because more people than just me are leaving more blanks out of self-preservation.

If ASR "learned" everything and was perfect, they wouldn't need us at all. I would rather have to change the error over and over and still have a job.

Smartest response in the bunch! If VR did what it was supposed to do, none of us would have work.

Personally, I just make a macro to change any issues that continue to pop up. A couple keystrokes and it's all good.

I discovered this recently and thought I would share. I always used to punch out to go to the bathroom or anytime I would get up so that my inactive time would not build. I figured out today if you upload a job and don't hit enter again to download the next one Fluency is in limbo. Meaning the inactive time is not being counted against you. SOOO if you need to go throw in that load or laundry or use the bathroom upload the job you are working on but don't download the next one. L ...

so...I just pulled up a report. Chief Complaint dictated: Malaise, fever. Chief complaint according to the ASR: Coma, Lasix, fever. I also had a report yesterday that was quite lengthy. While trying to decipher what the speaker was saying, I also had to weed through almost entire paragraphs of random words that were not dictated and then add the words that clearly were dictated. While editing, have you ever come across a read heading that is not meant to be there and sometimes has nothing to do with what is dictated, and then, upon normalizing the heading with ctrl-shift-H, it shows exactly what was dictated? This happens all the time with me, but this one really stood out. The red heading was FAMILY AND SOCIAL. What was dictated was "dairy and wheat." Without typing what was dictated, I normalized the heading and, sure enough, "dairy and wheat" ...

Make sure your headings are spelled correctly before uploading as the spell checker ignores them completely, which makes me highly suspicious that they are not included in our line count whether we type them or insert them. You know, DQS was the only good thing MQ had going for it until this update. NOTIFICATION OF DQS 6.1 ISSUE - ERRANT BROKEN HEADING AT END OF DOCUMENT Got this email on 03/16/2011 from MQ. All of the sudden we are have an issue with the headings? We have to turn off all markers (redundant, skip, etc.) I was under the impression that all the red markers/headings counted in our line counts. Do I have this right? Good morning everyone, In DQS 6, I could "rpe" and have it return "</PHYSICAL EXAMINATION/>" in red in the report. Not happening with 7.1. I have tried every combo I can think of to bring an expansion into a job and have it format like it did previously but am having no luck. Not sure if I did something or not, but all of the sudden my ASR headings are not like they have been. The blue lines are gone and the next heading is directly below the text of the previous. I think this was how it was when a new version came out, but I was able to "fix" it to the old way. Is any of this making sense? Also my Google, RxList and the rest of those sites you can access on the DQS page are off center. ...

I think every single one of us should put in a ticket in Remedy complaining about this "preferred heading" list. There is absolutely no reason for this! It just slows up down when trying to upload a job! Can somebody tell me what the purpose is for the spell check stopping on every single heading that is not in the "preferred list?" There is none! My EditScript keeps inserting headings (PHYSICAL EXAMINATION, CHIEF COMPLAINT, ETC) when they are not dictated. With my accounts, I am required to delete any heading that is not dictated, and most of the time the dictators don't dictate them, so I have to spend a lot of time deleting headings, sometimes 10 or more in a report. :( My question is, is there some way to "reprogram" EditScript so it doesn't spit out a heading if not dictated? I really have a problem under the Physical Examination trying to figure out what goes where when the headings aren't dictated. For instance, in this dictation, she dictates lungs, describes her exam of them, then goes on to say, "Mass in the back and the left paraspinous area is measured..." Would this stay under the lungs or would I make a new heading...if so, if "Back" an acceptable heading? Next, she talks about the pelvis...would this go under a heading with a "Pelvis" labe ...
