Does anyone keep a log of reports for the day? - something just doesnt seem righ

Hate to waste the time but Im gonna do it today..I have several jobs that I put through QA for terms that I really should know but cant find and I never get them back from QA with fixes...Just wondering, we were victims once before and no matter how much OT I work the counts never seem to go up much...

I just do the job number, doc name, and type of report. It takes seconds and I feel better about it. I still get good line counts, so as long as Im not falling behind, I will keep doing it.

[ In Reply To ..]I check my lines randomly throughout the shift to make sure I'm where I need to be.
At the end of each shift, I know exactly how much money I have made for the day, my line count, and my avg lines per hour and I write it down. So by the end of the week, all I have to do is look at my little note pad to see my totals.
Then at the end of the pay-period I pull up all my lines for the entire pay-period and calculate my pay check and the figures I come up with are the same as the figures I have on my note pad - Meaning no jobs or lines are missing.
The only reason I can think of for you coming up short is if you are going over your 5% mark for what you can send to QA and if that is the case, you are paid less for those reports. There is a minimum of 5% that you can send to QA, once you go over that minimum anything else sent to QA you will be docked for, but only the stuff sent to QA.
Your pay will be the same for all your other work.

This is what I did - to help me..
[ In Reply To ..]I dont do this anymore, but when I first started doing ASR, every hour on the hour I would check my lines and do a quick calculation of what I made for that hour.
I did it as an experiment to see what my actual earning potential was; I didn't do this every single day, but maybe once a week or so. It helped to give me an idea of how much I was making versus how much I was capable of making.
This morning I worked for 2hrs to help with backlog and when I punched out and checked my lines I had made $30 for those 2hrs, so $15 an hour is'nt too terribly bad, but can be a challange to maintain that amount for entire 8hr shift.
I keep the calculator open on the desktop just to check my progress, but mainly I only check it at the end of my shift, unless I am doing exceptionally well that day or seemingly poor. It helps to keep me on track so that I dont fall below my goal.
Here is what I do - sm
[ In Reply To ..]I keep a spiral notebook. In the front, I keep a daily log of all job numbers and doc names, as well as report type. If I send to QA, I highlight. If it is a transcription job, I place a check so I know the number of jobs that were transcription versus editing.
Then, in the back of the spiral, I keep a page per paycheck. I divide the page into 4 colums, Date, Transcription, Edit, and Totals. Then, under each column, I enter the days totals. That way, I keep track of each day, as well as a running total for the pay period.

4/15.........154.63=15.46....1159.42=69.56......85.02
Gotta say keeping a log got me higher counts - kept me more focused

It can be challanging some days though, but we all have those days. Last pay-period I had 3 days where I didn't do so well and was off by $20 all 3 days.
Luckily we have OT so I have been able to make up for it whenever that happens. I'm not the one who suggested the log, but I think its a good idea.
So paranoid I check line count every hour and know - exactly what 150 times

Anyone out there who works remotely for a hospital.. can you tell me how your QA is done. Wondering if most are like my employer. Our QA is done sporadically.. maybe twice a year. If a report is really bad, cant even find the patient- when it is uploaded and we have a note to QA, is that report sent to be charted and the doctors, or does QA fix it, whatever, and THEN is sent? Do we do anything different so it does NOT get sent to the client first? Thanks you guys!! ...
5 Day 5 Reports For 98% On QA?

I was speaking with a friend of mine and he just got the last bonus and then was told he was not supposed to get the bonus because the hospital he works on doesn't get bonuses so not to expect another one and then 2 weeks ago they put him on 100% QA 5 reports a day for 5 days and then extended it for another 5 days because they said he had 98% though on the bottom of his timecard is showing 99% and the feedback has been 99%. OLD Reports

In the past 3 days I have transcribed reports from as far back as January 2013. Ridiculous is all I can say. 3 reports today were from June of 2013. No wonder the backlog is twice what it normally is and they have to offer that incentive. We shouldn't get yelled at for something totally out of our control. ...
I Have A Lot Of QC1 Reports....all Over 99% And Most 100%

until I realized that NONE of those count as far as my pay is concerned...not a one of those 100% reports matter not one iota....they are not "post-audit" reports..... Then I look in FIESA again and realize there is ONE post-audit report and one alone....and IT has a 98.9% score! Numerous times over the last month, I have noticed reports that I did NOT pend to QC for any issues are being reviewed and going towards my 10%. I have had at least half a dozen already. There were no blanks or issues with them whatsoever. I keep track of all my reports and which ones I send to QC and to the client. I believe that these are old reports used for training, but I don't think they are training new MTs on the account. I believe they are training VR. Someone mentioned below that it doesn't make sense to pay someone to do old reports that have already been done, and I agree with that also.
