Does MModal know that their ILP QA are sending reports - without going over them

Either that or they are just that incompetent and can't catch any errors. I'm doing QAing on an account that is half overseas and half in the US and for now the account is 100% QA since it is new. The ILPs have to go through 2 levels of 100% ILP QA before it gets to me and they never have any errors marked. When I go through it, I find upwards of 10 errors on each report, some critical. It's nice to know our pay is going to lazy ILPs.

Maybe the reason they are so ridiculously hard on the US MTs is because of stuff like this. They are putting all the burden on US MTs to make things right. ??

we are training the computer programs, however you look at it. phasing out our own jobs. but i always knew this time would come, actually thought 2010 was the year for ASR. So happy to have a job in 12'. Albeit less pay.

ASR will never work the way they want. Too many cooks in the - kitchen, too much variety. nm

This is my experience with OS. They are less than truthful, if they can get - paid without working, they jump SM

on that, and mistakes are NEVER their fault. If you look to see how long the different levels of OS QA has a job, that will give you some idea of if they are even looking at it. At my bought out MTSO, the OS would have the job for like 1 or 2 minutes and then send on, telling me they werent doing any qa to the job. Look in Docqmanage and see how long OS qa has the job.

The OS jobs go through so many levels of QA before they get to the client, and each of those QA people gets paid, not to mention the original MT. How can that possibly be cheaper?

under the roof of the OS company so to speak. The US MTSO just pays a set fee to the OS company, who distributes it according to who knows what criteria. So it is not like the US facility is paying 3 levels of OS QA. The OS company is paying for the 3 levels of OS qa at, I am sure, fractions of a penny.

Even if you discount the motivation of class hatred and spite for spite's sake, which I don't, having worked in the corporate world for more than 30 years, I was just making the point that M*M, like other mega-corporations, in the interest of making even bigger profits down the line, might be willing to do something in the short term that cuts into profits like hiring multiple layers of Indian transcribers to do what many fewer US MT's might be able to do.

I'm just sayin....as a radiology MT in this company for 14 years...we have always sent radiology reports straight through to the docs to review and sign (because of turnaround time)....never knew they did QA until I got new accounts 2 years ago....and have had some pretty bad foreigners. I believe it is docs job to go over his reports anyway...he is legally responsible.. ...

Just wondering about the sending of blanks. I had a few blanks due to inaudible dictation. I know QA wouldn't be able to get it either, but when I uploaded the job the QA box was checked and I tried to uncheck it and it wouldn't let me. So, how do you just send it straight to the client and not to QA? ...

Are they kidding? Who is going to be sending ANYTHING to QA and take a chance of having their pay cut? Especially if it's the beginning of the work week! I feel that I flag a lot and send to QA a lot. I've been at this for about a year, do acute care, lots of ESL etc so I think it's a reasonably difficult account; but I ask myself do really experienced MTs, e.g. those at this for 5 years or 10 years or more, send so many jobs over to QA? Okay, I got a ding today from my extremely sweet and helpful QATL. It seems I did not send as a cc a requesting physician dictated. I looked at the report and I did enter the requesting physician in the ADT and the body of the report. I thought if they did not specifically request a cc be sent, then you did not. Am I wrong? Old dog needs help. Also, I thought if the Req Physician was in the ADT it automatically received a carbon copy.. Hmmm.. ...

I just wonder, as an MT we are REQUIRED to respond IMMEDIATELY to an email that they say "respond immediately" to. But if in that email it states any questions, please let us know and you email them back with questions and now 2 weeks later, you still have not received an answer back.
