About this "repository" ......... - kiki

Posted: Oct 24, 2009

Has anyone noticed in looking through these that they obviously have NOT been looked over for obvious and not-so-obvious errors?  I seem to find at least a few errors in every one, usually minor, but HEY, they ding us for minor errors....so you'd think they could at least get the samples correct. I also noticed that some of the report formats contradict the CP, so what kind of help is this?

This could actually be a great idea if they made sure each one was absolutely 100% correct.  And having samples for ALL dictators/work types would be a help instead of just a few.  I rarely find one in there of the dictator I'm actually working on, such as the difficult ESLs.  Sigh.......

The respository is a joke on my account. I've asked my QA person and CCM why there are so few reports in the repository. I get this big long speech about how difficult it is to find reports that are correct. Hello! There are mistakes in the few reports that are in the repository or blanks. There's no point in it, if it's not correct. On other accounts that I do occasionally, it's not so bad.

cant they just take ones they corrected? - crispymt

I mean they have those... but see that takes effort. The ones we have on there are HUGE jokes. For instance I have come to know certain dictators on my account very well and know what they say... I looked on the repository and they have this job that is just some off the wall thing and not typical of what the doctor says.... Now how is that suppose to help people not familiar with them?

I rarely even find one on the doctor I'm doing and when I do, there are errors and what is actually typed doesn't even sound like what the terrible ESR or 200 MPH American doctor is saying. Also, they need more than one example but I suppose that might be too much to ask since I'm lucky to find any.

The last MT company (they called and asked me to come back last week but it's less pay and they used to run out of work a lot, but they were new then) I worked for didn't have a repository. Instead, we were able to pull up all of the patient's previous medical records from that hospital. I find it quite odd that as big as the Q is, that we don't have that capability, especially with all the extra money they make from, um, nevermind. They wouldn't even have to make every single medical document available, maybe just recent ones or ones from current admission.

We were on a conference call (when we actually used to have them) and someone asked if QA people can access other records that have been dictated on the patient and there was dead silence and the question was not answered. I'm assuming then that QA can. If that's not correct, someone in QA please enlighten me. Maybe that's how they can decipher some of these things that we can't.

That's sad. With my last job using EditScript, another MT could actually IM you and you could pull up the document they were working on and listen to the word they wre having problems with.

This is correct along with other tools. Very handy for meds in question. nm - JJ
