Word 2007 Autocorrect question - tony

Posted: Nov 20, 2011

I have been working in DQS and I need to take my DQS expansion list and import it into Autocorrect in Word 2007.  So far I have put my expansion list into the Word 2007 program itself as a document, but I can't figure out how to get my expansion list into Autocorrect and I don't want to have to type each one in one by one, as it is a very long list.  Does anybody know how this can be done?  Thanks.

DQS to Autocorrect - been there

Tony, I tried the same thing when Caretech closed its doors. In my case, I was never able to get those expanders to transfer. Hopefully someone else will have better news for you. Medquist owns the DQS platform and I wonder if they made it so that nothing could be transferred.

Thanks, Been There - Tony

Well, before I had to upgrade to the newest version of DQS a few months ago, luckily I had happened to save my expansions onto a disc in case my computer crashed so I have the expansion list on disc (I was told with the newest version of DQS, they won't let you save them anymore, nice, huh), so last night I saved it into Word 2007 but I can't figure out how to get the darn thing transferred into their expansion list. I'm sure there's a way to do it. I have 4,000 expansions and it would take forever to put them all in individually. Thanks again=)

Autocorrect Feature In Word 2007
Oct 14, 2011

I used Word 2003 autocorrect feature (Ctrl+E) to add entries into the autocorrect. It doesn't work with Word 2007.  Does anyone know if there is another function key for this in 2007?  I'm talking enter "wnl" and it expands to "within normal limits", all done while in the document and not having to go into the tools and options menu.  ...

Microsoft Word 2007 - AutoCorrect/AutoText Feature Really Gone?
May 03, 2012

Working in an office on Microsoft Word 2007.  Is the AutoCorrect/AutoText feature really gone?  I saw the Quick Parts thing, but that is very slow in our business.  Also is there any way to put in jump markers to get around in the report quicker?  I see why no transcription service uses Microsoft.  Sure isn't good for what we do.  Thanks.  ...

Word 2007 Autocorrect Issue - Entries Disappears
Sep 14, 2013

I'm asking this for a friend. Her computer crashed a couple weeks ago, so she got a new computer with Windows 7. She is still using Word 2007. She has entered new autocorrect entries as she works and most of them are retained. However, when she enters an autocorrect entry for a standard template she has, like a SOAP note, the entry will be gone the next day when she comes back to work. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated? For those of you that are going to ...

Jun 12, 2011

I am currently running microsoft professional 2007 and will be changing to MS professional 2003 due to a job change.  I did some searches on how to copy my current auto-text (but sounds too confusing to me) and transfer to MS professional 2003.  Is there a way to do this that is not too complicated to explain?  Also, I do not have a flash drive, so can I copy this on a CD and then transfer to 2003.  Thanks for any help. ...

Word Autocorrect
May 24, 2013

I have been blessed with being able to work for smaller companies for the last 9 years.I just started with a new company and the platform doesn't support Word so I can't use my autocorrect, which I have been building shortcuts in all this time. We have tried pcshorthand/speedtype and are having issues with the expansion. I so miss typing in Word. Is not supporting Word the trend of the future? Should I just accept it, or look for something that I can still use Word in? ...

When we receive our documents in speech the physical exam is in a format where all the headers are one right under each other and we need to put it in a paragraph format.  Example:  PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: GENERAL: This is an alert white male in no distress. Word 2007
Aug 19, 2014

Hello,  My company is using Word 2007 and we just decided to change the way we format our office visits. Instead of listing the medications in a paragraph form with commas after each medication we are listing them in a column and numbering them. Our problem is that when we get the dictations in our speech format they are in a paragraph. Is there a way of converting the paragraph to a column so they can be numbered or do we have to just do them individually? Thanks,  Glenn ...

Autocomplete Add In For Word 2007??
Mar 22, 2010

I recently upgraded to Office 2007.  I previously utilized both Autocomplete and Autotext.  Using Autocomplete in conjunction with Autotext allowed me to not have to memorize as many hot keys.  Well, as many of you probably know, Word 2007 no longer has the Autotext function.  It has been replaced with Building Blocks, which to my understanding, requires you to create hot keys for the entries.  My question is, does anyone know of an add on for Word that can be bought (o ...
