How are YOU marking the end of your MT career? - wheres_my_job

Yes, joyfully, I am getting OUT. Big transition. But, I'm realizing - it's a milestone - and I feel the need to mark it in some way, or commemorate it, or honor it, or SOMETHING. You know, (humor alert) a fake funeral where I bury my work computer, or get a trinket for a charm bracelet - I'm not coming up with any good ideas.
Anyone else getting out, marking this milestone in some way?

[ In Reply To ..]I am ready to hang it up too, JUST started with a new big company, I was to do some jobs today and GUESS WHAT? No work! I am VERY alarmed -- don't know whether to laugh or cry! It's so indicative of the industry. It really WAS a good profession years ago, actually for me the "good work and good pay" ended only a couple months ago. This profession gets in your blood, I know I need to make a change but feel rather paralyzed. For all of you who still have a good thing going, I am glad for you. This can be such a good job when there's work, the pay is fair and you have consistency with an account, etc. Appreciate what you have (I'm sure you do) as it might not be there in another year. I hope it is but I thought I was "safe" as well. Good luck to everyone still trying to make $$ transcribing or editing!

Question About QA Marking ISR Expansion

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I got 0.25 taken off for the dictator having dictated "temp" and the report having "temperature." It will not be too soon for me start as we got word today that we lost one of the biggest contracts they had and they wont be getting a new one until February.
