At the end of the dictation, the doctor says "Please send a copy to the patient's PCP" and it's listed NOWHERE.  Gotta love it.  Smile

send a copy to the patient's PCP and "all the other outside physicians on the patient's chart" - I have none of these names. Well, saves me the trouble of looking them up. They fix it at the facility.

and why do PAs like to spell so much - capital WBC W as in white, B as in blood, C as in cells!

nothing idiotic about that - Snow Bunny

Maybe the doctor rightfully presumes that the MT doing his transcription has the intelligence to know that they only have to type "cc: PCP" at the bottom of the letter/report and the office staff will handle it.

did not say it was idiotic - 7DayMT

As per the account, if the cc is not specifically named, we forward it to the facility. We type nothing on the report. The CC's don't go on the report anyway. They are chosen from a list or manually entered if they are not on the list. It is just amusing to me - probably the doctor does not know the person transcribing does not have access to the chart and all the names. If he named everyone, I could do all the cc's and save them the extra step. Not an intelligence problem.

if you look at the post, Snow Bunny was replying to Viking Fan, not you. - N/M

I tried coping the files from the CD-ROM to the new computer and supposedly it worked but I'll be durned ...

Transcend Plays Favorites Big Time
Dec 04, 2009

Why are these managers playing favorites?  Don't they think that some of us know our teammates and talk to them?  Just as an example, one of my teammates got a birthday gift, but some of the rest of have never even gotten a birthday card or note saying happy birthday.   Some get thank you letters if they spell a word right and the rest of never even get a thank you when we have worked hours to help get an account out of trouble.  And this is by the same manager.&nbs ...
