Are there companies that hire coders to work at home? Any hospitals that put their coders at home? ...

Can anyone tell me if there really are "work from home" medical coder jobs out there similar to how MTs work from home, and if so, what companies hire work from home coders? I have been an MT for many years and need a change. I have had formal education for coding (I went to and graduated from a college, not an online school) but have had no luck at all in finding a coding job let alone one that actually allows you to work from home. I'll start off with some office supply suggestions. Code books have really thin pages, and really teeny writing, so you will want to highlight a FEW choice items. This has to be done *modestly* without ruining them. Regular highlighters will bleed through. Too much highlighting and note-writing will ruin them. We are being QA'ed into oblivion at our facility. We have our RAC audits, our internal QA, and an outside agency that does QA audits on each coder. We are constantly in a QA cycle for someone, and it is getting to be so tiring.
