No, not like Word or anything I've ever used. It isn't very - productive at all. sm

It is awkward to move around in and spell check isn't very good. Been some other posts here recently about it you might want to read. They think it's great and will talk it up but it's not.

i recently started with prn, at first i seriously doubted the platform, but decided (for a change) to stick it out and it has paid off. i'm 3 weeks or so in and can get 200+ lph (and going up), which at the rate the pay, comes out pretty good (i average 250-300 in word with good dictators) i'm also not pulling my hair out because of the dictators, they are very nice, at least on the account i am on...i think the platform, once you "get it," is pretty simple. some word commands work in it, but now that i've been on it for a bit, i actually like it...not to mention super nice people, pay on time too

There is no spell check, not cut and paste except one time pasting that usually doesn't work.... filling in forms and not making much but they paid on time.

I work on it and probably have one of the easiest dictators there is plus I'm a fast typist and use my expander to the utmost capability. I have barely cracked 200 lph. Not trying to be mean but the platform itself is not capable of that kind of speed between having to go through the proofing stage at end of each document, the awful spellcheck, etc. If you're doing that much and also producing quality reports, hey, bully for you, but I don't think it's fair to represent that as the norm. Again, I am highly dubious of this but YMMV. Definitely not my experience.

I live in the boonies and have a satellite connection, for this I am switching to the phone hotspot. However, I have even MORE reduced net speed now because HughesNet likes to dock speed for people who go over the limit for the month. My plan is 10 or 20 gigs...and on the hotspot, I just went through 2 gigs in maybe 20 minutes, something that really blew my mind. Hi, I recently spoke to someone from Turn Around Time Transcription. I had found their ad on mtjobs.com. Does anyone have any knowledge of this company? They use the Medrite XL platform and the owner told me all the transcriptionists said it was an easy platform to work on, but then I looked it up and MTs were complaining about the line counts being so low. I answered an ad for U.S. Transcription posted on MT Jobs, was asked to test, and within an hour of submitting my test I was offered a job. I'm fairly new to medical transcription. I received my certification in 2010 and was a little discouraged when applying for jobs and they were all looking for experienced agents to work from home. Anyone ever do non-medical transcription? I'm interested to know if you liked it. I tried it for a few days and just decided it wasn't for me. A lot of it was phone conversations and was very hard to understand and I ended up leaving lots of blanks. The pay was bad too and I gave it up today.
