My experience with Acusis was mixed. I think with any company, it boils down to the account and the dictators rate, speed, and clarity of dictation. I was put on an account that was like pediatric genetics. I got these reports, among others, but these killed my line count because the terminology was so detailed and so specific to genetics that I could not reference many and or most of the terms via Google or Stedman's. You'd have to be a geneticist to find the spelling of half these terms. These terms just could not be referenced anywhere and the dictator was so slow!!! It killed my line count, so I quit to look elsewhere. Just my 2 cents.

You can gain a lot of insight as to how Acusis operates - by reading the Medquist board. sm

Whatever the Q does to its poor employees, Acusis usually copies shortly thereafter.

Their platform is slow, slow, slow. It's so top-heavy with demographic cr@p, you'll do a whole lotta data-entry, and not a whole lotta typing. Which means notta whole lotta MONEY.

Their QA is the dumbest the most nit-picky I've ever seen, ANYWHERE.

Pay continues to go down, NOT up.

Just another bunch of cookie-cutter corporate hacks.

Quite some time ago one of my MQ buddies and I decided to leave the Q (great decision). She went with Acusis and HATED IT. I mean, this woman was a top-flight MT, really knew her stuff, was smart, worked hard, was a really decent person. And she felt that they just ground her into the ground. I was really stunned that they were like that, but they were. She offered to get me an interview there and I said, "Not on a bet!"

Thanks in advance. I am CMT with 16 years experience, currently working for a recently bought-out MTSO. I will probably test with Acusis this weekend. Is 9.25 cpl realistic for Acusis at all? What's the % cut for VR pay? I see they state a 12-hour window. Is 36 hours considered full-time? Are you paid for spaces? VBC? Is PTO decent? Again, thanks so much! ...

I have seen some posts where people want to know about Acusis. I will tell you what I know and about my recent experience with them. The Human Resources person, Susanna Sovek,is located in Pennsylvania. My supervisor was located in California. The IT folks are in India and the CMT's are all over the place.
