Any opinions on this company? Rate of pay reasonable. VR or transcribe?

After years of dealing with other companies, I finally found a home with Wordz. :)

Pay is reasonable, higher rate if you are a CMT.

I type on several different accounts, and all of them are straight typing. M-F clinic work with weekends optional.

7-1/2 cpl, if I remember correctly, but it was clinic work and was easy. It was okay for part time.

Hey there curious. My name is Mike Iconis. COO of wordZXpressed. We have many happy MTs on this board, and I like to jump in and help answer tech questions and such when people ask.

Since I saw our name on the company board, I thought I would answer your questions. Straight from the horse's mouth if you will.

We have been in business since 1993, and our first MT is now our VP of Operations. We are proud to have dozens of MTs that have passed their 10 and 15 year anniversaries with us. I think this says a lot about our culture.

Regarding pay, it is competitive and like others have pointed out, there is a bump for CMTs. We offer great benefits as well.

We do NOT use VR yet. And I do not plan to implement it anytime soon. We pride ourselves on being a "boutique" shop for clinics and ambulatory surgery centers. That is what we are known for.

This means the same MT, typing the same providers, day in day out. Many will say our pay is not high enough. We have proven that you can make more if you have great technology being used, and type the same providers every day. More throughput = more $$$. And you will not be sitting in a pool, waiting and praying for work.

There are 2 accounts that are pools. But the teams are like families and everyone has everyone's back.

That is us in a nutshell. We are almost always hiring.

Can anyone give me recent info on WordZXpressed that works there? How is the pay? Any raises? What are the employee bennies (Example: Do you get PTO?) Is the quality of the sound files good? Is the platform good? Does it keep up with your line count? Any info like this would be appreciated. I'd like to find a good company with employee benefits if it is possible.... Did anyone else apply to this company in the past few days? I took the test and was waiting for a response from the company. Today I sent an email to follow up, and I received a reply stating that I had failed to submit a resume with my application and thus would not be considered for a position. I truly don't remember seeing that I needed to submit a resume. Did anyone else apply and do you remember if the instructions said to submit a resume? Ughhh. What a stupid mistake I made!!! ...

I took their test for a QA position. ELEVEN reports to type plus their written. I typed the reports, 2 reports had 1 blank, otherwise they were clean. I get an email saying I didn't score high enough. I went back over each and every report, relistened and there were no errors. So, just in case, I had someone else go over those reports and listen and she agreed with me, no errors with the exception of the 2 reports that had 1 blank. That was a passing test. This ...

I have over 30 years in this field and it seems that a lot of companies are either cutting the MT's pay to edit on ASR and/or are offshoring work out to India, Pakistan, Philippines, etc. I don't believe in sending our jobs overseas, and I've also given ASR at whirl (a long whirl lol) and I still couldn't increase my lines per hour to compensate for the cut in pay that I had to take by doing ASR. The company I work for hired me as full time 1000 lines with benefits. 3 months later they changed their policies to 1200 lines anything under no benefits. Also we can not work over 40 hours. How can they pay me by line but then tell me how many hours I can work? I don't work hourly.
