Why doesn't TTS advertise on MT Stars? - Are they mad at moderators?

Just wondering because I was over at the other MT site and saw a help wanted ad for TTS and thought maybe TTS was mad at MT Stars owners because they let MTs post not so good things about TTS. MQ doesn't advertise here either but they are looking for help too.

What's up with that?

I support the companies who advertise on MT Stars, my favorite MT web site.

There are many, many companies, large and small, who do not post job openings on MTStars and, for some reason, decide the posting fee of $35 on MTJobs is worth it.

Wonder, too, what that is all about, with all those companies.

and decide they don't want their company associated or advertised to a bunch of ninnies. Have you read the posts all over this board lately? I wouldn't want the majority of these people working for me!

MTjobs.com has a lot better 'feel' to it, more professional.

The other web site does not allow feedback about other companies. Maybe as an owner/manager you prefer that?

Every MT who gets burned by a company is not a cranky ninnie but there are lots of company owners/managers who are and for no particular reason. Could it be true that power corrupts and turns ordinary people into cranks once they get power?

It also has far less to choose from. nm - As if ANY of them were that great.

will read this. If you are going to place an ad, at least state the pay rate. If you do not do that and someone goes ahead and tests, only to find out the pay is horribly low (7-8 cpl), you are going to have one very irritated MT who will tell others to stay away. Also, you need to state the platform and the computer specs! Otherwise, I am not going to waste my time even sending a resume much less testing. ...

Everything bad that has happened in someone's life is either directly or indirectly related to MT. Everyone at the MTSO except the MT is stupid or ignorant. Anyone who dresses up to go to the office or wears a "suit" to work is the enemy, not to be trusted and is out to screw the MT over. 8 cpl is what I started at 6 or 7 years ago, I'm still seeing this number and of course much lower. How are companies getting away with this nonsense of not paying for spaces, paying 5 cpl, etc. In my opinion 8 cpl + typing for large teaching hospitals with 18 pages of specifications = really low pay. Rapid Outsourcing Imaging hired me to work the weekend graveyard shift. Their transcription platform does not refresh itself, and there is very little work. What work does come in has an almost immediate TAT, so you are expected to sit in front of your pc for a 10-hour graveyard shift constantly refreshing your screen to check for work. When work does come in and show up on your screen, it is already 7 minutes into the 20-minute TAT. I was making about $2 per hour. ...
