Synernet and bullying - MT

If you have been bullied by anyone at Synernet , please put a thumbs up. If you feel that you or someone you know has been the object of unfair treatment please comment. Suggestions and ideas how this can be stopped appreciated. There is no reason for people to leave their job because of something like this. There is every reason for people to be able to keep a job in a fair workplace. Your comments appreciated. Please no trolls or trouble makers. This is an honest attempt to work together for good morale.

I can't say that by strict definition I am bullied - that denotes a repeated offense that is singling you out. But I sure feel like I am treated with little respect in a very demeaning manner on a regular basis. I think I'm in a large group there, unfortunately. With the head of the dept so unapproachable and JT seeming to be following in TL's footsteps for management style, I'm stymied on how to address this with someone who could help if only they cared enough to listen. Who is that person at Synernet? :(

Bullying also includes treated with little respect, in a demeaning manner on a regular basis. That is exactly what appears to be going on. Good question. Who is that person. This is what we need to find out.

thing he cares about anymore is lining his pockets. He sat in on a phone call about a year ago and that is the last he has shown any interest at all in participating in anything to do with the MT side of things. V rules with an iron fist and the other management people are either part of the clique and follow suit, or (as in some of the leads) they are bullied too and end up leaving. I hope you find a solution. No one should have to go to work every day and feel like an anvil is hanging overhead.

I have a much better job with people who actually communicate with you. Don't know what VD did prior to becoming Director of Transcription or whatever her position is called, but she does not care to know how to relate to the lowly MT, and JT should have stayed with her tech position, as she can be bullying or belittling at times in a condescending way, depends on what your question is to her.

Seems like a lot of new people, names have changed almost completely on the IM. I am definitely interviewing elsewhere. Abuse, abuse, abuse. So sorry this is happening. Definitely not what it used to be, and most certainly not a fair place. Why can't we all get along for a win win situation. Scratching my head.

Only place I know who hires MTs back after they quit. One is a supervisor - that tells ya something.

I have an interview with them coming up. They seem like they have a good reputation and the benefits look really good. One thing I am wondering about them is just how flexible are the schedules? For example, right now I am able to work a regular 2nd shift position with no problem (I currently work 2nd shift and prefer it to other shifts), but when school starts my kids will have sports and Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts and I have to take them to their meetings. First the dire email: Mandatory OT by end of week with at least 2 hours on Saturday. Just forget if you had plans for the weekend. Say what time you will be working and have to work those hours and put who okay'd those hours on your timesheet (you might lie you know). So you do that because you want to help the company out and it's nice to have OT again. I am applying for a job with Synernet and will be testing tomorrow. Can anyone tell me approximately how many lines I'd need to type a day to make... lets say 80-85 dollars a day? Anyone out there working for Synernet who has also worked for other companies? I was an IC before joining Synernet a few years ago. They are paying me .7 cpl, no flexibility unless per-diem and then per-diems still have to work 2 holidays a year, lots of vaca time but can't use 2 weeks in the summer until I've been there 10 years, management impossible to get response from regarding any type of question, just got thrown into weekend rotation, etc. After looking at boards I see th ...

Just curious, I'm trying to decide between a few companies and I totally forgot to ask the interviewer. I think the whole VBC thing is criminal. It's bad enough not being paid for all of the research, demographics and CCs we do, but to not pay for characters that we actually type just because they don't print out in black and white is OUTRAGEOUS!!! ...
