Synernet Employees how many accounts do you work on? - Tired of switching back and forth

I was just curious as to how many accounts you all work on. I have been running out of work lately, as it seems a lot of us have and keep being put on different accounts and it's driving me mad!

I have 2 -- have begged for more but told none available. nm - No work blues

worried about quality switching back and forth. the only errors i had on my last audit were for not following acct specs but sometimes I get a different account with every job, switching back and forth -- it's really easy to forget which one wants headings to the right and which wants headings below :(

Ran out last night, given another account, for a grand total of 3 now. Worried about later tonight now - ugh

Agee Sunday is the worst - I only have to work every 3rd sunday - but ALWAYS run out of work

pain in the butt to try to make up the time -- I have plans on my nonworking time and get sick of trying to fit in more hours. Monday is sometiems probelmatic too.

I only have 2 accounts. I WISH I had 7, but then again that person said he/she ran out of work too. One e-mail said T would address the issue but that was all I heard.

You do all remember this site is watched by the company, right? And that we now have that social media policy in effect? I only mention it because it might not be too hard to figure out who's writing what with your number of accounts and schedule information. As for accounts I'll just say I have plenty and still run out of work. As for holidays, some people have worked holidays and had no work at all.

What social media policy? I did not receive any kind of notice. nm - just curious

We had emails July and August of last year, if you don't have those it's in the Employee Handbook.

No one's bashing but they could see talk about being OOW as negative, making it look like they're losing business or it's not such a great place to work, things like that. Or they might not. Just saying it's hard to know how they define "negative."

that running out of work didn't use to happen until the past few months,I never ran out except on holidays and even then would often work up to half a day. The company has a reputation for never running out so this is new, and yes, everyone IS complaining including me and everyone I know, so they could think it makes them look bad. I hope this changes soon because otherwise I like the company. And to the person who said they have 2 accounts and begged for more but could get them, I just don't get that unless you are very new.

I work there, though I admit "everyone" might be an exaggeration as I don't know every single MT. But I do know many of us have been running out of work lately and there is a lot of complaining about it. I think most of us like it here and just want to not run out. And of course I have no real way of knowing how truthful the person who said they have 2 accounts may be but I also don't have any reason to believe they're not being truthful.

There would be no reason for me to lie. I hesitate to say anymore because you are right -- the situations are unique enough that it probably would not be too tough to pick out who is saying what, and at least for now I would like to keep this job, although I admit I work another job, even though they discourage that. My feeling is, if you are going to pay me a substandard wage and then on top of that not provide me with enough work, you cannot blame me for supplementing my income.

I hope things turn around soon. With Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching, if this keeps up, I'm not sure my family will have such a joyous holiday.

saying bad things about the company would be not to DO bad things. I don't know what their official statement is, but I would be a bit leery about someone who goes to great lengths to squash people from saying anything negative about them.

You are right, and I would be leery too. However, I didn't say Synernet was "going to great lengths" or "squashing" anything, and I don't think they are. This is a standard social media policy that most companies now have in place. I was merely suggesting that my fellow employees err on the side of caution and perhaps include a little less detail, and that I don't know exactly what the company would consider negative. And we all know employers check these forums, hence our anonymity.

When I was there last year during the mandatory OT, I definitely did not work OT all the time. No one ever sent me an e-mail as to why I was not. I just could not do it. It was too taxing on my body, as I have some medical issues going on. Just so you know. Then when I did, I would do may be 4 hours sometimes 2. Is it just me, or are the accounts being messed with AGAIN? I haven't gotten much work on my primary in a while and I'm just sick of switching back and forth, every other report to different accounts and reviewing the specs, get that in my head and then voila! the next report is yet another account and then I have to hunt those specs up. I was just curious about what employees thought of Nuance on Glassdoor. You read several US employee opinions and they reflect the morale listed on MTStars. Scroll further down and read the opinions of the transcriptionists from India. What a difference. They are highly satisfied with their jobs and most have been working with Nuance for 6 to 7 years. I have an interview with them coming up. They seem like they have a good reputation and the benefits look really good. One thing I am wondering about them is just how flexible are the schedules? For example, right now I am able to work a regular 2nd shift position with no problem (I currently work 2nd shift and prefer it to other shifts), but when school starts my kids will have sports and Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts and I have to take them to their meetings. First the dire email: Mandatory OT by end of week with at least 2 hours on Saturday. Just forget if you had plans for the weekend. Say what time you will be working and have to work those hours and put who okay'd those hours on your timesheet (you might lie you know). So you do that because you want to help the company out and it's nice to have OT again. Talked to the recruiter 2 weeks ago tomorrow (Friday, after her postponing the interview on Wednesday), she was very nice was told the paperwork would be send Fed Ex after not receiving it was told the gal in fhe office was out and would be sent later, and of course based on a "background check" etc -- with training to supposedly start 06/14/2010 -- I have since accepted two positions and if I were an MT, I would be VERY leery of this company -- a month to start is ridiculous especially wh ...

Anyone out there working for Synernet who has also worked for other companies? I was an IC before joining Synernet a few years ago. They are paying me .7 cpl, no flexibility unless per-diem and then per-diems still have to work 2 holidays a year, lots of vaca time but can't use 2 weeks in the summer until I've been there 10 years, management impossible to get response from regarding any type of question, just got thrown into weekend rotation, etc. After looking at boards I see th ...
