Proscript anyone? - Needs job

Thinking of applying at Proscript. Can anyone tell me the pay, benefits, QA, etc? Also, I am planning on working night shift, so do they run out of work often at night or is the work plentiful and is there a night shift diff? TIA.

I honestly don't think you can make any money there, at least I couldn't. It is 99% VR and the pay is 0.035 cpl. The shift differential for night shift is either 1/4 of a cent or 1/8 of a cent, I cannot remember, but it definitely doesn't make a difference. I worked nights as well and when I would fill in on days, I honestly didn't see a difference in the pay.

As far as "plentiful work", they will pretty much keep you busy IF you are willing to sit and monitor your computer. You will run out on your shift, but they send emails every 2 hours letting everyone know how much work is available, so you can fill in on different shifts in order to make up lines, but again, very hard to make money.

I know the lower VR pay is about the norm now, but with Proscript, their VR system is so horrid that you really have to correct each and every sentence. For me, it averaged out to usually $5 bucks an hour. I didn't even make minimum wage! As far as benefits, those are ZERO, you are a statutory employee, so they only take out social security and offer no benefits whatsoever and you DO have to work a shift.

I honestly wouldn't recommend them. I stayed 6 months and moved on.

As for their platform, the one I was put on seemed like a combination of the worst parts of Editscript and Docuscribe combined into something new. When I asked my first question of QA, I was cut off permanently without any explanation, and I thought the question was quite straightforward, not so stupid or ignorant as to cause me to be fired. I had just completed their orientation and QA couldn't have been more unhelpful. It is remembered as one of my most horrific and memorable MT experiences.

As for the emails sent every 2 hours, I thought they were a total nuisance. They began as soon as I signed the paperwork and continued for days beyond the end of my relationship with the company.

They don't pay for headers, very low pay in general, no benefits, must stick to schedule and help out all ours of the day/night, very picky QA, all in all, not great.

I agree with the other posts; especially about the e-mails. The thing that would get to me, I would answer the e-mails to work and still wouldn't get any. Started off great and in two months went to heck in a hand basket. I had to move on. They have overflow accounts, so like one of the other posts said, if you want to babysit your computer, then you would want to work for PS.

Ditto to pretty much what everybody has posted plus, personally anyhow, I found QA and the TM to be the most insulting, snarkiest bunch of people I have encountered in 20 years. One day I just had one smart remark too many.

My experience and feelings exactly! Don't waste your time; you'll end up quitting anyway. They don't keep MTs long; only the other ones! They must like nasty and mean!

I recently went to work with Proscript after 9 years of hell at Spheris and 1 year of the same thing with Medquist and I love it. I have a great hospital, great supervisor and flexilbility. I do work evenings though and that is my choice. The system is pretty decent. I can see a few things I would like to change, but for the most part, it's not bad. Money, (are we getting paid for this?), seems about the same, but I am still learning the account, so I don't feel I am up to sp ...

I just started, but the date I got was today for payday, yet it is not in my bank.
