Proscript - any of you out there that work for PS? - Susan

I recently went to work with Proscript after 9 years of hell at Spheris and 1 year of the same thing with Medquist and I love it. I have a great hospital, great supervisor and flexilbility. I do work evenings though and that is my choice. The system is pretty decent. I can see a few things I would like to change, but for the most part, it's not bad. Money, (are we getting paid for this?), seems about the same, but I am still learning the account, so I don't feel I am up to speed. Are there any of you out there that work for PS?

changes in the last year with VR and change in pay. I do like the flexibility they offer. You say you have a great hospital - some are good and some not, just like all the others. The hospital I work on is in California.

In fact, your post sounds almost like damage control done by the management there to counter the abundance of recent negative posts I've seen here.

ProScript, in the past 6 months or so, has taken away all benefits for the MTs (in fact, we were sent a letter essentially stating that we'd been terminated and then re-hired as statutory employees) and cut our lph rates because of their wonderful (not!) new VR platform, which is just a slice of hell and is actually negatively impacting our lph, not increasing it.

Management is oppressive, with demanding e-mails sent out frequently.

You say you find it a good place. Well, I hope you continue to be happy - really, I do - but those of us who've recently been shafted here are looking to get out as fast as possible and I, for one, would warn anyone away. They used to be a great company, and maybe they will again someday, but this new management is insane.

You sound like me with MQ, but I am not discounting what you say. I guess all I can do is take the wait and see approach. No I am not an insider from PS, hardly. I am very well aware of what these companies are doing to us and that includes just about all of them, but I desperately needed a job and I felt anything, even a something bad, would be better than MQ. I do like the hospital I am on, that should tell you how horrible it was with the accounts I had at MQ. Perhaps I will keep looking, but for now I am just trying to get by and working when I want to. If you aren't giving benefits and I have to have my own equipment and take out my own taxes, then please give me that. Thanks for your feedback. Hope you found something else as well.

I just started, but the date I got was today for payday, yet it is not in my bank. They told me I do not have to wait for direct deposit, that it is right off the bat (rather than waiting the usual two checks or so with any other place).
