Happy enough. Like my accounts..sm - Tired of Typing

They treat me well enough and don't seem to nit pick. Money could be better, but that's everywhere. Work runs low on holidays. I think there are far worse places to work.

I think there are a lot of people happy there; unfortunately only the unhappy tend to need to vent so as is the case in most everything in life. Years ago I worked in restaurant and was taught that if a customer has a bad experience they will tell at least 10 people, if they have a great experience they will tell 1 or 2 - I think that holds true across all industries - you only hear the bad. I have only been there a few months, but all-in-all I'm happy. The pay is industry standard - 8.5 traditional and 4.5 VR, pay always on time, insurance cost is reasonable. I have had some personal issues in the last couple of months and they have been supportive and flexible. For me, the only down is that most of the work is VR, but that seems to be a trend everywhere. In my case, on second shift, there is plenty of work on my primary and backup accounts and once those are current, I get work from my tertiary account. My queue is set up to automatically pull from those accounts. I see emails all the time on second shift talking about high volumes on other accounts on which I don't work and again I cannot remember the last time I had no work. I also appreciate the fact they leave you alone and let you work - no weekly "meetings", conference calls, unnecessary emails, and I like that - just let me work and do what you are paying me to do. So just one MT's perspective - I would accept the job - in an industry that is rapidly changing and every offer is kind of a "crap shoot", I think TransTech is a winning shot all things considered.

I would suggest you read the archives, then again, TT tends to have threads removed.

I say go for it. I came on with TT when they took over an account from where I used to work. At first I was not sure how I would take to VR, but I've taken to it well and like it. I did read the other posts about work being slow during the holidays, which is true. It gets slow, but there is still work, but just not as much when things are going full throttle. What I am doing is a little extra now in preparation for a slow down once the holidays hit so that way I do not have to worry and can relax. What I like to do as well is make notes as to when I see work lulls and such during the year so I can plan.
Happy at TT?!? - Laree

I was VERY happy at TT (radiology) until they overhired (not the new MTs' fault) for the volume of the accounts and the work dried up. I left for KS a couple of months ago and have been glad, at least so far!!! Very busy on my new account (but lots of administrative busywork/data entry).
Well, looks like a whole FIVE of TT's MTs are happy. LOL. - Debbie Hoodski

Unless of course it is just TT Management posting and using several names. Which is certainly something I would not put past them.

Wow!! I Was Just Offered 2 Cpl To QA!! Jan 20, 2010Why dont they just start asking us to work for free! At that rate I dont even think you make minimum wage! This is obviously not even because of outsourcing. I think what has happened is that a lot of work has gone overseas, but the remaining work that the transcription companies are getting is still paying a half-ways decent rate but they have taken a small cut to keep them. Then they turn around and pay NOTHING to get it transcribed so the people running the companies a ...

Offered A Job By VMR-Transfer May 18, 2010I am one of the people who received a contract and was offered a job by VMR-Transfer, but when I called and emailed about hrs/lines/days required, my messages were never returned. I know there was a thread about this previously as many other people had the same problem. I'm just wondering if anyone has actually started working for them yet and if this really is a legitimate company.

Would Any Of You Take A Buyout From MQ If Offered? Jun 20, 2010In past months I have read on this board, with dismay, so many posts about long-time MQ MTs/MEs failing consecutive audits, and eventually being discharged. I think it is a major coincidence that so many employees are suddenly and consistently failing to meet the same quality standards they always met. I think it’s a flimsy contrivance to get rid of the more highly paid employees and replace them with cheaper newbies while avoiding an age discrimination actions because those higher-paid pe ...

Employee Offered Insurance... Not Really Better Than My Own?? Jun 03, 2010I am new to the MTSO thing. IC for 10 years and bought my own health insurance. It was $242.00 a month, and I let it go a few months ago after losing my job. Now I am being offered by my employer an HSA plan for around the same amount or a PPO plan for around $300.00. (this is them paying 60% and me paying 40% and that is what it equals??) This seems OUTRAGEOUS. Am I crazy?

Offered VBC Line Rate Jan 07, 2011I have been offered a position for 0.08 VBC line/65 characters. I can obviously figure this is going to be less than with spaces. Is there anyone here who DOES get paid this way and if so, how much of a difference overall is it? Low Wages Being Offered By So Many MTSOs Jul 04, 2012As a seasoned medical transcriptionist with over 30 years of experience, I can no longer contain my irritation with the low wages being offered by so many MTSOs. Therefore, rather than apply for the low-wage positions, I am e-mailing these companies and letting them know how insulting their wages are and what an asset I would be to their company, but refuse to accept these low wages.
Some of you may not agree, but this is my form of protesting what has become of the medical transcription p ...
