Got the emails today about the changes in management. I can't say that was much of a surprise. However, for one of my accounts I got an email saying that from now on the dictation for this particular account is going from the hospital to BeyondTXT to Bayscribe. I can't see the logic in adding that step unless they want to phase Bayscribe out of that account and get it on BeyondTXT and its VR. Despite whether that turns out to be the case or not, it's so sad to see what this company is turning into.

Yes, it sure has begun. New team leads effective today, no less. I lost mine and I am very upset. With all these convoluted changes emailed out, my head is spinning just reading about it. Nothing is going to be the same no matter how much they say nothing will change. I will continue working for them for now but in the meantime I am looking for a new place to call home. I have a bad feeling with all this new stuff coming into play and it isn't even Feb 1 yet. Too bad for all of us at MDI, just too darn bad.

Well, my primary and secondary TLs stayed the same.

I guess I didn't think it was that convoluted, other than seeing the new names.

Seems a bit of a plus - from what I can tell, most, if not all of the TLs are all MDI MTs to start with.

I too saw the email about the one account going from BeyondTxt (remember, this platform is not just VR, it is also straight transcription) back to Bayscribe - hm. I plan to ask if an explanation doesn't become obvious. Curious.

Only time will tell.

I don't work for Transcend/MDI,but I've been through the mill with mergers and buyouts. The temptation is always to bolt at first,but I learned that as long as they leave my account alone and my line rate in place, the rest pretty much means diddly-squat. You can get used to the new names, new procedures and new bureaucracy as long as they leave your income alone.

To add that extra step seems pretty silly...unless you don't want the client to know that the work is being done by VR. I remember C. once saying that the accounts will only go to VR on BeyondTxt IF the client wants to change platforms. That would definitely be a convenient way to move everything to VR without the client requesting change in platform. Otherwise it seems pretty silly to add an additional step when trying to race the clock with TAT.

then they weren't legal anyway. If anything drastic changes with my accounts or anything else that could affect some or all of us, I am going to be on here telling everyone about it. So far, I am going to follow someone's suggestion on this board a few months ago. "Stay very quiet. Fly under the radar. Do not draw attention to yourself if it is not necessary."

I just plan to go in each day, log into my accounts (and hope they are still there) and type. My TL is gone but I will get used to the new one. I have small accounts that are not at the top of the "demanding" list so I am just going to fade into the woodwork and stay there.

I am, however, taking a look around to see what else is out there, just in case. Hopefully, starting over again will not be necessary, but it is better to be prepared because quite honestly, I do not have any idea what may be coming next with this merger. Time will tell.

"Fading into the woodwork" is a big reason why at- - home MT pay sucks as much as it does today.

is exactly what I mean by not telling all on the boards. Remember, anything in writing can come back to haunt you. Additionally, my brother just warned me that in mergers, often about 33% of the people are let go, including management. I am not taking any chances. Job market is tough these days and I am not as marketable as I once was.

In my company's merger, it was mostly management that - were "let go". Part-time MTs were -sm

canned when they lost a big account after the merger, but regular MTs were free to stay or leave. Many did leave, though. I hope to someday too, though have yet to find another job that isn't just more of the same.

As long as no one is saying anything libelous, what is there to worry about? It's a sad day when you work for a company that you are afraid of. Good luck with that.

But this is a free country, and they cant tell you what you can or cannot do on your own spare time, nor what to say, nor whom to say it to or associate with.

For the most part, other than the obvious patient confidentiality, the rest is just a bunch of intimidation tactics.

Don't let a bully company take away your freedom of speech, and turn you into a mushroom. (Kept in the dark, and fed a lot of cr@p).

Last 6-7 audits have been 99-100%. New "rule" of 99% effective June 1. Today's audit from June 7-14 shows a CRITICAL error. So it only took ONE week for the *$#*!) to begin. Looks like it will be bye-bye for me soon. So sad Q feels the need to drag out and torture hard-working, underpaid people psychologically first. Total bunch of gutless wonders ! ...

I have hopefully purchased my last Shorthand license. I was planning on buying the 6-month but went with the 1-year just in case but will not be renewing it after that. I am hoping by August to finally quit. I am taking a test for a company and have gotten as far as taking the transcription portion. I downloaded their file (pedalplugin-win) but whenever I lift my foot off play, the tape rewinds to beginning. I cannot rewind or FF and autoplay to 0 isn't registering. Can anyone suggest what I could do to? Thanks!!!! I have 4 hours to complete test. ...
