Looking for recent info on MXSecure - MTgirl

Looking for recent info on MXSecure... Archived info is pretty old. Any recent employees there that care to share good/bad info on them? Are you assigned certain docs? Is it hard to maintain your line count? What is the ratio of straight/VR and the pay for it? High number of ESL docs? Any info appreciated.

I've been with them since June (after the company I had been with for 20+ years closed up when our main account went to point and click EMR) and really happy so far. I was trained and assigned doctors on 2 accounts/departments within the same system, which makes learning new doctors/referrals easier. Clinic work, though I also do acute care for backup. My schedule is M-F with a 12-hour window to get 6-8 hours in (I find the minimum is easy to achieve). Some things I love: super-nice people with lots of positive feedback, prompt communication, paid holidays, sick days, and incentives for both ASR and straight. Also important for me - health insurance kicked in at 30 days instead of the more common 90 days. Both my accounts were straight, though one has gone to ASR since I started. No surprise; one of the reasons I chose MxSecure is because they paid more (5 + incentives) for ASR than almost every other company I interviewed with.

Do you know if they have any radiology? I only have experience in radiology, but I wonder how difficult it would be to transcribe clinic or acute care? I desperately need to not only land a job soon, but get a job with a good company. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the last one (ATSI).

Sorry, I'm not sure about radiology vs clinic or acute. My only experience in radiology was nuclear medicine years ago and to me it's completely different from what I do now. Wish I could help more!

Thanks so much for replying. How much exactly is the pay for VR and straight typing (if you feel comfortable sharing). The company I'm with now pays me 0.075 for straight typing (no VR). I signed up for Oncology work but don't get much of it, so I get stuck mostly doing work I haven't got much experience on, which slows me down. I'm supposed to do 1000 lines/day for FT, but have only met that a few times when I've had my good Oncology work for the whole day.

Just FYI: for some time now, MxSecure has been shorting my pay. I get the "there-there" routine--then it happens again. They are first very rigid about invoicing, then say to enter a separate line for any incentive. The latest is that it's a "known issue." I have no idea what is going on with this company. Ever since we got the notice about switching to VR, it seems it has all gone to pot. Or maybe I am just grouchy. ...

I went to their company web site to try to find out, but I can't find any place where they list whether you need a footpedal to take the test. Just got an e-mail the day before Thanksgiving that MxSecure is going to an all-employee status and no longer using IC's and that they are not currently recruiting employees in my geographic area. I'm out of a job as of the end of the year. First employee check from the company (been an IC for over 5 years, went to employee status Jan 1) and I wasn't paid for my hours, only my production which equaled less than min wage for the hours. I've emailed them time and time again since 1/18/11 and all I get is "we're working on it" without any type of real answer as to what it is they are working on. My current CCM is one of the best of the many I've had. I had previously worked with her on this account from1999 until we were sold to MQ in 2005; she is my 6th or 7th CCM here at MedQuist. So what is there to know about OSI before I make a life-changing decision? Minimum line count for FT? Approximate cpl for a "very experienced" MT, for straight typing; cpl for VR? Do they use 65 ch/l? I heard that their system apparently allows MTs to produce +30%...I find that extremely hard to believe.
