I have worked there many years and for me it's a good fit. Rarely run out of work. Pay is always ontime. Few if any QA issues and really nice people to deal with. There isn't any shift work, just a 20-hour TAT (depending on acct) and I really appreciate this flexibility. I would highly recommend them as an IC. (You know currently they only have IC status and thus no benefits.)
Thanks for your reply! - Amber

I started training with them on Thursday and I really like it so far. It is really reassuring to hear at least one good opinion on them!
Good luck in your new position. Hope you like it here! - MX MT

I don't know what other people look for in a good company but a fair wage, lots of work, no surprises on my paycheck, flexible TAT and a friendly staff who leave you alone to work are all things I appreciate and found at MX. Welcome!

oh--there ARE other posts more recent than 2008, BTW.

Don't we have to do enough proofreading in our MT jobs than have to worry about what typos are here in this forum? I never proof when I IM or post in a forum. Although it seems here everyone calls out a poster for a typo or grammar error. Guess it's the nature of the biz but seems a bit condescending and/or competitive to me. Though I've always felt the majority of this site could use a bit of loosening up, I have actually noticed it to be more supportive and less backbiting than it has been in the past. (Sorry, I doubt backbiting is actually a word but oh well?! I don't proofread except when I'm working and/or looking for a job and I am quite happy where I am! LOL)

yah, we do a lot of proofing. i think that poster was just giving a heads-up is all.
i'm glad you're happy there. shame they won't hire exclusively within the USA.
Looking for recent info on MXSecure... Archived info is pretty old. Any recent employees there that care to share good/bad info on them? Are you assigned certain docs? Is it hard to maintain your line count? What is the ratio of straight/VR and the pay for it? High number of ESL docs? Any info appreciated.
Thanks! ...
Just wondering if there are any MxSecure MTs who have already switched to VR who can tell me how it's going. I haven't heard anything about it since we were told the switch to VR was happening. ...
Just FYI: for some time now, MxSecure has been shorting my pay. I get the "there-there" routine--then it happens again. They are first very rigid about invoicing, then say to enter a separate line for any incentive. The latest is that it's a "known issue."
I have no idea what is going on with this company. Ever since we got the notice about switching to VR, it seems it has all gone to pot.
Or maybe I am just grouchy. ...
I recently saw a job ad for this company and am considering testing for a job. The job ad does not specifically state their equipment requirements. I went to their company web site to try to find out, but I can't find any place where they list whether you need a footpedal to take the test. I feel like a bonehead because I'm sure I must be missing it somewhere. I did find where they list some hardware and internet requirements and it just says you need speakers a ...
Has anyone else lost their job with MxSecure because of the independent contractor going to employee only status. I was informed that they are not hiring in my state and several others, but they would let me know if they decided to later. Any information? ...
Just got an e-mail the day before Thanksgiving that MxSecure is going to an all-employee status and no longer using IC's and that they are not currently recruiting employees in my geographic area. I'm out of a job as of the end of the year. I'm just wondering if there are other MxSecure MTs in the States who were offered employee status or if they are going to completely move the work out of the country. ...
I am currently employed at MQ and am looking elsewhere. I have looked at Eight Crossings, MedGarde, MxSecure, Webmedx, All Type and Landmark. anybody have news on any of these? Good, bad or indifferent? ...
First employee check from the company (been an IC for over 5 years, went to employee status Jan 1) and I wasn't paid for my hours, only my production which equaled less than min wage for the hours. I've emailed them time and time again since 1/18/11 and all I get is "we're working on it" without any type of real answer as to what it is they are working on.
IMO, there's no "working on it" - you're either going to pay my min wage or not.
Why is it so hard to get a straig ...
Yet another good company bites the dust due to M*Modal. We have a 12-hour window, weekends off, paid holidays and sick days, and incentives. I purposely took this job because MxSecure is also a software company so thought this couldn't happen. Biting my nails as to what changes are ahead. ...
Need to know any info ASAP on I think its called Global Info Systems or something like that out of Texas. Lots of clinic work, but low low line rate offered. Need to know about management, stability, VR reality, workload, response from tech support, etc. Also, are these clinics in India? Thanks for any help! ...
It isn't easy to get off some of the spam and phone call lists when you click for more information about some of these courses. I've found that for me, it isn't worth it to get that information if I am giving up my privacy. Some of these people are relentless! You can't get away from them once they get your information.
There is one in particular that makes sure you hear from them every day in one form or another. They become your best friend, even if you weren't lookin ...
I am testing with GIS this evening, does anyone have any information on this company.
I am currently working with TTS, they do not even pay 4 CPL for editing. I feel like this business has become a legalized form of slavery. The only business where with over 10 years of experience, your pay goes down. ...
Does anyone have any information or experience with MD-IT such as platform, pay, etc? I have tried doing a search of past and recent archives and was uanble to find anything. ...
My current CCM is one of the best of the many I've had.
I had previously worked with her on this account from1999 until we were sold to MQ in 2005; she is my 6th or 7th CCM here at MedQuist.
She is very familiar with our hospital, very friendly, easy to communicate with, quick to answer emails, and always keeps us up to date.
The CMT differential was mentioned earlier as part of MQ new plan; if you have not heard yet, maybe your CCM has not gotten around to it. The 0.005 cpl i ...
Does anyone have any info on MD-IT other than what's on their site? I didn't find anything in the archives and was wondering if they're a good company to work for.

So what is there to know about OSI before I make a life-changing decision?
Minimum line count for FT?
Approximate cpl for a "very experienced" MT, for straight typing; cpl for VR?
Do they use 65 ch/l?
I heard that their system apparently allows MTs to produce +30%...I find that extremely hard to believe. I'm doing 250-300 l/hr consistently on my relatively ancient system, using AutoCorrect on Word, rather than a regular abbreviation program. How in the world could OSI's system impr ...
Does anyone have any info on DSG in regards to platform, work availability, VR, etc? I can't seem to get the search function work. Thanks in advance! ...
Hi,
I am wondering if anyone has information on MD-IT. I could not find anything in the archives. Is this a good company? Do they pay on time? Most important, opinions on their platform. Is it easy to use? Does it use Word?
I would appreciate any input you ladies & gents might have.
Thanks! ...
Hey guys! Just wondered if anybody has ANY information on DTS out of Oklahoma. I have searched old posts, but only found a few things. I have been offered a job with them, but would like to find out some of your opinions regarding them before jumping in with both feet! Any information, good or bad, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! ...
I have never worked on VR. I have applied at a few companies, one of which replied that 90% of their work was speech editing, paying 0.04 cpl. On average, how many lines do you do a day with VR in a 7- to 8-hour period? Trying to figure out if taking this job is feasible. Thanks !!! ...
