Looking for info on Transform - Good or bad...

Any info appreciated, such as:

Steady work?

Employee or IC pros and cons

Pool work or assigned physicians?

What type of Platform?

How's the pay?

Did you test with them? The transcription test is very, very lengthy.

It was a very good MT gig until they went to VR. I'm the first to admit I didn't give it a chance. After a couple weeks I bailed. I should say, though, that it didn't seem awful and I probably could have gotten used to it eventually and become more efficient with it, but I'm so dirt poor that I just didn't have the time to spend doing that (otherwise I would've just stayed). I quit and went with another company, straight typing.

Their accounts were good and they paid like clockwork, direct deposit. I liked working with them.

Oh, and for those that may be about to say so, I do realize that I'm going to have to learn how to become proficient at VR if I want to stay in MT. I just hope I'll have a bit of a money cushion by the time I'm ready to learn it because I've heard from others it takes between 3 to 6 months to get good enough on it to make a decent paycheck. I don't have that luxury right now.

Thanks for the info... Was it pool work or did you have assigned docs?

I was assigned a specific hospital account so - I guess I was in a pool for that account. nm

I applied and did the testing... exhausting, very long transcription portion. How long does it take after testing to hear back from them?

Is anybody else going through this? Transform used to be a great company, been there for years making good pay, good accounts. Lately they have just insituted this fancy new "pay" system where our base pay has been decimated but we get to make up some of it up by jumping through all these hoops, like typing more than 1000 lines gets you a percentage increase (percentage of what), using typing keyboard "shortcuts" gets you more crumbs here and there. Transform out of Wyoming - their clinical account out of Montana - one of their oldest, largest accounts. Anyone notice on Monday mornings and afternoon there is little to no work? Tuesday mornings just a little, can run out even? I've also noticed other days the amount seems to be down. Work doesnt seem to start coming in until around 5 EST.
