Amphion or Transform MT? - whattodo

Can anyone out there who works for either of these companies please tell me the pros/cons of the company? Do you run out of work often?

I have had several offers and have narrowed it down to these two. Any input anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated!

Transform is a good company - Been there since the spring

Things can vary by which team you're on, of course, but I've been really happy so far. Plenty of work, great team lead. QA is really consistent for the most part, with just a couple of little things that are not enough to get excited about.

They have both acute care and clinic work and that will be determined by which team you are on.

They have some straight typing accounts left, but I believe by the end of the year or soon into the new year they are aiming to have it all transitioned to VR. They use an M-Modal based platform, but they manage it well and so the drafts are not as horrible as they can be elsewhere, and sometimes the drafts come out pretty good.

Pay is marginally better than the "norm" in the industry right now. You start out at a base of 4 cpl for VR but then there are a host of modifiers that can bump that up to 5 and possibly even 6 cpl.

Insurance, at least for a single person, is remarkably reasonable. They do that by basically outsourcing the personell to employee leasing, which makes everyone part of a larger group so the benefits are a whole lot more affordable.

No complaints from me on this company.

I appreciate your reply. How do you feel about monthly audits? I'd used to quarterly audits, not a problem, but monthly? Don't want to feel constant pressure as I did at my previous employer.

If anyone else can chime in here, would appreciate it!

I can either do the job or I can't, so the frequency of being audited is not something I ever worry about.

I always look at audits, QA feedback, etc., as a learning tool. Every time someone tells me I'm doing something wrong, my response is always "okay, how do I do it right" and then I write down what they tell me and who told it to me.

One thing with Transform is their QA is very consistent and the account specs are detailed but not horrifically long. The team I'm on is BOS 3 compliant (some teams are not so much) so once you learn the account specs, if you go by BOS, you're in good shape.

I agree with what you say regarding audits, I guess what I don't want to encounter is nitpicking as I have seen at other companies, that constantly having someone looking over your shoulder, etc. I've recently left something similar and don't want to jump back into the same/similar issues.

I just got hired at Amphion and I have to say I have never been treated better at any other company. Every one is so helpful and caring and there is tons of communication between the entire team. I haven't been there long, but I think this is going to be my "home" for quite some time! This is no longer just a job to me; I enjoy it that much!

I have been at Amphion since January, and think that they are a great company. The really care about the people working for them, and it really is a "family" atmosphere. I have only run out of work on a handful of occasions, and when you do run out, they bend over backwards to try to find you more work to do.

This is the first company in a long time that I have felt "at home" with an MTSO. I have worked for several of the big ones that you hear about on here a lot, and I am glad to say that Amphion is nothing like that.

Is anybody else going through this? Transform used to be a great company, been there for years making good pay, good accounts. Lately they have just insituted this fancy new "pay" system where our base pay has been decimated but we get to make up some of it up by jumping through all these hoops, like typing more than 1000 lines gets you a percentage increase (percentage of what), using typing keyboard "shortcuts" gets you more crumbs here and there. Transform out of Wyoming - their clinical account out of Montana - one of their oldest, largest accounts. Anyone notice on Monday mornings and afternoon there is little to no work?
