Looking for recent info on Transtech? Pros and cons?

Curious too. They have constant ads. What's - the deal? Also..see msg

All VR at 4 cpl mostly all ESL dictators. Hard time making a line count, but hard to say if some are just used for overflow and those with seniority have the bulk of the work. They want you to do weekends and nights and again because they have those who have been there who get first choice. Cannot make any linecount and especially when no work. Manager very nice, but you deal with your supervisor. Night girls are nice. QA for the most part are helpful and not demeaning. Don't give up your day job though, cut coupons, don't get sick, eat cheap meals. Good luck.

TT is more flexible than the previous company I worked for. They play fair and pay is above average IMO.

I did not have a good experience at TT, but I don't think it is indicative of the whole company, it just wasn't right for me. Every few weeks the platform which stop working and I would have to call support and have them re-install it. That was annoying. Also the email program, if not hooked up to the VPN, which quit all the time, then my emails would not send themselves, and then I would get really, really rude emails from QA about not receiving email reports. Found QA to be more than a little stressed, and stuff rolls downhill. Wanted to remind QA that they are glorified MTs with big ego's, not supervisors, and they really took their position as a way to unload frustration onto the MT. Some days I had 80% ESL and that was more than I bargained for. QA would also get emails confused and send me feedback for accounts that weren't even mine, and in the same email, complain about how they have told me "over and over," how to do it right, even though they emailed me in error. Actually had one QA email start out with "Uhhh," literally, "Uhhh." Who does that?

For the pro's though, pay is very good, lots of bonuses and incentives, seems to be a lot of work, a lot of VR. the VR for the ESL doctors actually works really well.

Ultimately, I would recommend to anyone looking into working there, give it a go. Just because my experience was a bad one, does not mean yours will be, and compared to other MT companies, if you can handle some frustrating moments, may be a good job for you.

I left TT several months ago, and was very glad I did. Everyone's experience is different, and I am glad for those that have had positive experiences, but I found that QA was very abusive to the MT and when you had a conversation with 1 particular QA person she verbally was abusive, and I asked her if she talked to everyone the way she talked to me. Also, I found that those in management could not get their stories straight and differed on some very major MT issues. Very poor training was given, and you were left floundering around when you had a question, and also they did not answer their e-mails very well. I was told some things about the company (I worked evenings) from a lady with the lady, whose first name starts with an "F." She denied this, however, when they questioned here. I just felt I couldn't trust them.

I looked but do not really find much current info for this company. They "seem" pretty liget with basic line requirements, decent pay for VR, good benefits, ect. Hi there fellow TT MTs:) Do any of you ever have trouble with QA at TT. Lately, I have been afraid to send anything in for correction, particularly 1 person, who dissects my reports down to crossing my Ts and dotting my Is. I know she is probably just doing her job well, and I know being in QA is a hard job, but this is getting depressing. I am not a newbie by any means, and I know my job well. I started a new thread because I noticed your question about TransTech waaaay down at the bottom of the page and with no responses yet, so here goes... In my personal experience, nothing has changed from the older posts. Even today, I have 4 accounts and I'm currently waiting for work to come into my queue.
