Does anyone know what company Rebecca - is from on the Job Board?

Does the name sound familiar? I thought at one time the job ads had to indicate what company they were representing. Maybe this is a small one? I don't want to send a resume blind is all. Thanks in advance.

jobs with an @yahoo.com address make me wary anyway. I personally don't find that very professional and you would think someone who is willing to pay you 10 cpl would have more of a professional email domain, but I'm just sayin.......that's probably silly, but just my opinion:)

I feel the same way and do not trust that this is not just someone looking for resumes to possibly beef up their own or get ideas. Maybe I'm the one being silly! LOL

I am wary of lots of stuff these days. It's a shame, too, but it's the cold hard truth that not everyone is honest.

I would think a company name would be first and foremost in any job ad.

Or get free work done using the "tests" that the applicants send in. - ginger

They stated they were just individuals looking for more help when they posted their ads. Neither actually had a company name but had 2 or 3 MTs working with them. I made good pay from both of them, better than any company posting at the time, only paying 7 or 8 cpl. I was getting 10 and 11 cpl with these 2 companies.

I agree that it sounds fishy if they are afraid to give the - company name on job ads

She has been around for a little while. She had a job opening on MTStars in October of 2009.

A search of her Yahoo Email only gives that she is in California. I certainly do not want to pay to find out more. Really wish we could get reverse Email searches for free somewhere since there seem to be job openings every so often on the Boards that do not give company names and only Email addresses.

I ignore those too. If they are not up-front enough to give all the information from the get-go, it always makes me feel they have something to hide. I wonder what she would do if everyone sent her an Email listing only our Email address and no resume attached, just “I am a Medical Transcriptionist – if you want more information you have to Email ME with your Company name and address!!!!” Do not think she would reply to that, so why should we Email her blind without knowing who she is.

If anyone responds to her ad, please post so we all know if she is legit.

back an application to fill out and 5 test documents. I sent back an e-mail asking the name of the company I would be testing for and I am waiting for a reply. I'm not sure how one would advertise a company if there is no name for the company. Perhaps the advertisement should have something to the effect that this individual has her own accounts and needs help with them.

how could you send a resume out blindly like that? NM - all that personal info on a doubt.

I have over 30 years in this field and it seems that a lot of companies are either cutting the MT's pay to edit on ASR and/or are offshoring work out to India, Pakistan, Philippines, etc. I don't believe in sending our jobs overseas, and I've also given ASR at whirl (a long whirl lol) and I still couldn't increase my lines per hour to compensate for the cut in pay that I had to take by doing ASR. The company I work for hired me as full time 1000 lines with benefits. 3 months later they changed their policies to 1200 lines anything under no benefits. Also we can not work over 40 hours. Would you be able to perform at that level? I'm sure there are some of you that say you consistently produce 100% quality and at least 400 lines an hour. I'm not talking to you. Well, it seems as if the outsource bug has hit again. I don't know how my hospital transcription department managed to stay intact for so many years but we are officially being given the boot in 2 weeks. Anyways, if you are looking for another company to switch to, Mediscribes (based out of Louisville, KY) is taking over but their pay really sucks; hence, why I am not taking the job. It is no different than our company. We need better working conditions and raises. Found out there are many MTs in this company and we all are not making the same pay. Some are even higher pay. I was grandfathered in and had to make the same pay as a newbie. I keep asking Amy why?? Of course I get no answer, but found out today all MTs are clearly not making the same pay.
