DSG in terms of their work flow - Old Tired MT

Posted: Feb 09, 2010

I am curious as to how people who work for DSG feel about DSG in terms of their work flow and if you have enough work to fill a 40-hour week.  If you prefer private e-mail, that's fine.  Not looking for either slamming or touting the company, but I do want OBJECTIVE information, which would include if you run out of work consistently or, conversely, if you have plenty of work to keep you going 40 hrs a week.  Just the facts please.  "I run out of work all the time," "I have plenty of work..."  Not interested in wonderful supervisors or not, benefits, etc., just the work flow situation. Thanks!

Very inconsistent work flow - justthefactsmam

Not all adccounts are the same so I can only refer to my experience. Others may have accounts that are consistent.

good luck!

even with a secondary account? - curious

Yes
I agree, work is very inconsistent and now they have gone to voice, sm - mqmt

and so my thinking is there will be even less work unless they pick up overflow from MQ which I think they might but since I hate voice,I will probably be gone soon. Just me.

I totally have the same line of thought. It's definitely not just you. Sad. I'm thinking I may just take a plunge and change careers at this point. If there's greener grass somewhere, it won't be for long. Not going to spend my last years before retirement chasing MT jobs.
It's difficult to make lines on DQS ASR anyway, - sm

much worse if you have a low line rate and difficult accounts.
does anybody know anything about the "new accounts" they were hiring for? - dc
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm sure we're not allowed to discuss particular accounts here, but I had an interview and was told the work was slow there but would absolutely pick up. If you know what I'm talking about, are they horrific accounts to work for and/or do you foresee them actually picking up?
I'm curious if they pay more for the difficult accounts - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
than they do for the easier ones?
More Pay - MT
[ In Reply To ..]
Acute care pays more than clinic at most companies. Acute care, by nature, is "harder" than clinic---odder terminology, drugs exclusive only tho hospitals, more ESLs, etc. However, you do not get paid more for the ESL or more complicated (like genetics) specialties--not where I've ever worked, anyway.
New Accounts - MT
[ In Reply To ..]
I would post this as a new post--it's pretty far down at this point and hasn't been read by too many people. Heading up your subject line DSG will draw some DSG people.
probably not a bad idea, thanks - dc

Can Anyone Help Me With These Terms
Mar 02, 2015

I am not a medical transcriptionist.  I usually do general transcription.  I have a doctor speaking, using some terminology I cannot find.  May I give you a phonetic description of what I think he is saying?  If anyone recognizes this, could you please give me some suggestions on what you think he is saying. I'm hearing "brocoderal species" that causes "glanders amyloidosis".  Does this ring any bells for anyone?   ...

Wmx Work Flow Improving?
Nov 09, 2009

Am I just lucky a.k.a. crazy, or is there quite a bit more work lately.  There has been OT on at least 2 of my accounts fairly often and I haven't ran out of work for over 2 weeks now.  I don't know if some people have quit, we have picked up new accounts or what, but I am ever-so-grateful.  I had picked up a PT job about a month ago when things were low, now I am killing myself trying to do over 60 hours a week, but afraid to let the part time gig go.    ...

Work Flow Sent Up The Red Flare.

Begging for people to jump on, if okay with their TSM. Ha! Ha! Don't they know, the TSM (at least the last several I have had) will not pick up the phone 10 seconds after their shift, and their shift does not include weekends (apparently from my experience). Maybe they let go a few too many with their 99.7% program. In the group I am in, the work really starts coming in heavy because the doctors do their catch up work at the end of the week. At least for the facilities I do. Bas ...
