Breitner Transcription anyone...nothing recent I see? - Hiya07

Wondering if they still run out of work or if pay on time. Wondering if nothing recent means something positive? TIA

The only time I've run out of work in the past few months has been Christmas day - and that was for about half the shift at most. Other than that there's been plenty of work. There have been no pay issues that I'm aware of. I've heard that was happening years ago but hasn't happened in quite a while.

How I wish it was IC. With the ACA if I take a job with benefits, I lose my hubby's insurance, - oldie

"thank" Obama and the democrats who voted it that way - it was done to hurt the Americans who have spouses. I'd apply anyway and ask if you could have an IC status - couldn't hurt to ask.

I applied a few months ago when they had ads and were hiring, but never heard anything back. Thought that was rather unprofessional.

don't bother to acknowledge you when you apply for open positions. I personally think it's rude but it seems to be the way employers treat potential employees...and it's not just transcription. If I were a recruiter I'd at least respond to all applicants with a "thank you for applying. We'll be in contact if we're interested"...especially with a lot of MT positions now having you apply on-line and you don't get any confirmation that the application and tests are received by the hiring company.

Pfft...I just tried to test with them, and I got a message back stating my current experience wasn't enough for them (acute care/multispecialty). I've typed these reports before, but not recently, so guess that doesn't count. :/

I know this is an older post,and I hope you have found something you are happy with, but can I ask....what do they consider "recent" acute care experience? In the past year? The past 2 days?

What do you think about the catheterization report on testing for Breitner? I have done probably hundreds of these reports and know the terminology -- that is not the problem. I know they are testing our ESL skill too with this guy -- very bad dictator. Did anyone have trouble with sound quality and getting the foot pedal to work? I think this along with very bad dictator just did me in. I have heard they are not too great to work for though. Maybe it is good that I could not do the test, ...

I see where Breitner has a job ad on the other board for an oncology transcriptionist, yet when I go to the testing area, the only test available is for acute care???? If you are going to be hired for oncology, why would you need to take a test for acute care? Also does anyone know how much they pay for straight trans and for editing? Every job I get looks like it has been rejected by 50 people and the jobs are always day-old terrible stuff by people who don't know how to dictate. I wouldn't wish this work on anyone. Anyone else who is applying or already applied at Breitner? Anyone work there or previously worked there? I see they use MT Test for their testing.
