Anyone heard anything about Breitner in MA? They have ads frequently, too frequently I would think. Seems like they have a circular door (faster than revolving door)!

When you are new they nitpick everything you do. I passed through the training and was released from QA but for some reason the person kept sending me nasty e mails about commas and other small things. I thought it was not worth it at all. I left an environment like that and was not about to continue. The acct manager asked me what was wrong and I said I was still being QA'd for commas, etc. I still left b/c they did not state why these nasty e mails kept happening. That was my experience.

Maybe there's just a different group of people on each shift, and you might get a good one if you work when they work?

I worked third shift 12:00 mn-8:30 a.m. The QA person had some ideas about comma use that I thought were really weird, and I concluded that she just didn't like colons. By the way, it wasn't a client preference to do it this way. It has been almost 4 years, but I still remember a specific and rather condescending email where she corrected me:

"HEENT: Normocephalic"
She wanted:
HEENT, normocephalic.

I've never seen it written like this anywhere else, ever. I challenged her, but she wouldn't relent. The account manager didn't respond to my email on the subject. It was close to Christmas and there wasn't much work available. I asked for a second account, requested ANYTHING BUT REHAB. Despite my request, she evidently purposely gave me a rehab account, which also was pretty much empty. I was basically sitting at the computer for 8 hours waiting for about 2 hours worth of work each shift. First, I asked for a part-time option, but that request was ignored, so I sent the account manager a note, stating that I would like to resign, and it was up to her whether she took 2 weeks notice or not. She "allowed" me to quit immediately. I thanked her and moved on.

I had a totally different experience. I only worked for them a short time due to personal reasons, family member developed colon cancer and I left. They were some of the nicest people I had encountered in any company in a very long time and I have been moved around due to companies merging, accounts being lost, etc. QA never sent me any nasty e-mails (about 2 1/2 to 3 months) and I enjoyed working for them with the exception of it being so long before the first actual pay check arrived, after the training check, and the fact that I had mostly DS as my work type, which I am not real fond of. I would recommend them as a good company but that is based on my own experience with them.

Does anyone know if they pay for spaces - for their EditScript platform?

Breitner's pay seems to be about average from what I've read, but I know spaces can make a difference.

You would think they would have the decency to say either you passed the test or failed, or that we are no longer hiring and thank you for applying. Breitner's test was through MTTEST and I made it all the way to the practical part transcription test and feel I did very good. Anyone else who is applying or already applied at Breitner? Anyone work there or previously worked there? I see they use MT Test for their testing. I did the application but have not started the actual testing yet. Gosh it would be so nice to just have to transcribe one sound file! Wishful thinking! That's not gonna happen I'm sure. Has anyone here attempted the Breitner testing? This company certainly searched high and low to find the absolute hardest reports for their testing. I am familiar with the terminology on both reports as I have done genetic reports and am familiar with these words. I accepted an offer of employment from Breitner. The same day, I received an email request for a phone interview from Amphion. I replied to Amphion, stating I had accepted the other job.
