Is it all gloom and doom?

I love it there and do not understand these posts lately. sm - Curious

I know of at least 20-30 other employees who are very happy. The few that post here negatively to do not represent the several hundreds of us who are very happy.

Sounds fishy to me.

I was also told by a LEAD that KS did not want the MT's talking to each other, e-mailing or communicating in any form so as not to complain about KS. I DO have an e-mail to back up this statement.

Most of them are either people I have been on an account with or who came to KS after being at the previously company I was with. Over 7 years, you get to know a lot of people.

Yes, I am making money. Nothing fishy about that.

Why is it that every time someone is happy, it is "fishy" or they are a "liar" or a "suit"? Doesn't matter which company either.

I've worked for numerous MTSOs and even when we had access to the entire MT roster, it's been a very very rare occasion that I knew more than one or two MTs personally. I might have known the person who referred me to that company. I might have recognized a couple of names from non-anonymous on-line MT sites, but I certainly have never actually known a ton of MTs at any company.

Unless a group of MTs worked on-site and were part of an acquisition by an MTSO, I find it remarkable that any MT would know their coworkers in the setting in which we work.

However, a lead MT or a supervisor or a QA person MIGHT know the names of other MTs. At some companies, they would only know ID numbers and not names. In most cases, they would know an MT just to get their job accomplished and certainly not know much about how they feel about the company.

So, if it walks like a duck....

you may or may not have access to who works on a particular account with you and you may or may not have contact with any of those individuals from a remote standpoing, and even working in-house you may or may not know 20-30 people (in your department or throughout the company). In thinking broader spectrum, a company with reportedly 500+ employees, can one really speak for 20-30 employees and say they are/are not happy? I am not a math expert, but isn't that equivalent to less than 25% of the total company? just wonderin'

My experience has been that they (the company) do not want you to know about the other people. When I asked about another coworker, they were like why?

This is not true for both the accounts I work on. - They encourage everyone to get to know one another

You'd think I was going to start stalking the other MTs or something the way they keep such info secret. The only time I ever get a clue of who works there is if someone gets careless on a multi-recipient email. I suppose it's because they don't want people comparing notes.

I'm fairly new at KS. I love my account and I'm making good money. The only negative so far has been lack of communication from my lead, but my production coordinator has been great!!

Also, things were slow getting started with HR, but once the ball started to roll, it was fast rolling!! I hope this helps.

When you look at this board, you have to look at the positive posts, too. There are always 2 sides to every story. If at least some people are happy, then it is possible that you could have a very positive experience, too. It was just not the right fit for the others.

Would you please share your experience working at Keystrokes. Is it as bad as posted on here, or are there any "happy" MTs there? Are you able to work your full shift and get your line counts? If not, how many different accounts do you have to work on to make enough money to live on? Are their platforms hard to learn and do you have to switch back and forth on those too? Do you get raised to 8 cpl as promised? Thanks for any info you would care to share...appreciate your time. ...

that we have to key in all this information from the work sheet into the report? I hate these things. It takes forever to get through them, and please don't let me make a mistake because then I'm having to scrutinize the thing to make sure I'm back on target with the right number. A lot of time being spent on a job that took only minutes to type. I had to vent about it to somebody and wondering if anybody else feels the same way about them. ...

and QA dings me for one. Unbelievable. That's what it averages for 1400 lines a day full-time. Even with 3 cups of coffee and an office chair seat belt, it's no easy feat. Ninety-thousand keystrokes PER DAY. That's not including the ADT, the Internet look-ups, etc. Throw me a bone here, QA. How many keystrokes to you do, PERFECTLY?? ...

How is it? The trainer says it is one of the easiest platforms to learn on if you've never done it. Said the threshold is set high at like 85% (not sure what that means) and it proves to be very lucrative for some. Anyone have any experience with it they could share?
