That is what is going on with me right now with job hunting. I left a great job last year (workload was great as well as pay), typing insurance interviews, because the contract manager was not very nice, and I was constantly being abused along with others after being with them for five years. I had finally had enough and quit. She gave me an earful about that.

I moved on to other things and had a great job with a great salary, working remotely for a company in California doing AI editing. I loved the work, but as an IC, I was not being treated fairly. They hired me because of my English degree. They hired from different countries. The person who trained me lived in Mexico, and being that he was ESL (his English was great, though), he would mark me incorrect on a lot of QA because he was taught differently.

I LOVE proofreading and correcting AI makes, but they keep telling me I am not qualified for that kind of job after I apply, even though I have years of MT and an English degree, and have done VR in the past. I just do not know where to go anymore after constantly being told I am not fit for every job I apply for. I am struggling to find my purpose. It is really disheartening.
