I don't think there are any decent MT jobs out there, so if you want to work at home, I would check other avenues. Also, I would not do IC work ever again, unless they paid me double to cover taxes and even then, I don't think I would do it.
If you can break away from the WAH mentality, which I finally did, I went and worked as a concierge at a local senior living facility part time and have now been doing it for six years plus. I like it and they do hire seniors more than most companies. Perhaps there are some close to where you live, you can always give it a try. Good luck.
