and realized working in a medical records department is its own form of Hades. I loved coding. Its actually the perfect "next step" to MT. But you may have to spend some time working in the office because the billing side of the whole coding experience is one of those "you just have to do it to learn it" things. I had the worst experience and I do that again. This is the third medical records department I've worked in, the other two being inside a hospital doing MT. And there is a pattern of medical records department heads being bullies, quietly hiring their acquaintances and family members under the radar and hosting a very clique-ish environment. It's the curse of working with all women. Never again.
