Coding Part Time Or With a Flexible Contract? - Krys

I've still got at least 20 years until retirement and am pondering a switch from MT to training in coding.  Numbers wise it looks like I could make more $$ coding part time hours than what I'm doing right now over full time with MT.

My biggest concern is that most of the jobs on the major sites are full time. With 3 kiddos and all their schools and activities I simply don't think I can work 8 hours in a row no matter how early I get up or stay up.

Luckily hubby gets us insurance so don't have to worry about benefits.

Is it worth getting training/certified or would finding a part time job here be like a needle in a haystack?
