Hi Ash. You were very wise to ask before plunging. You were also very wise to heed the advice not to go into MT. Sooo many people are hell bent on going into the field, no matter what we say!
I got out in 2012 and never turned a backward glance. I bawled my eyes out for a day or so, as I loved the field back in the day, then happily deleted or threw out anything remotely related to MT work, and I carried on. I had a job lined up before quitting.
You can work from home doing other things and make decent money without the headaches MT has/had to offer.
