If you worked at Starbucks for minimum wage, you have to drive to work, pay for gas and car maintenance, higher insurance because you drive frequently. Working out of the house, you have daycare and babysitting fees if you have kids. When you subtract those fees, you find working at home can be more profitable for you in the scheme of things. And working at home, your Net, printer ink, paper, pens, office supplies are all tax deductible, same with the sq footage you allot for your home office. You don't have that advantage when you work away from home.
