Anyone tells you different is the owner of the company or a court reporter. I would say it's a 50/50 crap shoot no matter who you do legal for if you get a good reporter who isn't actually depending on the typist to do their job. I can't tell you how many times I've sat through a deposition that even the court reporter couldn't understand and they said nothing, nothing at all, likely hoping the audio outcome between the voice recordings would fill in gaps. It doesn't. If it's crap for the CR, it's crap for the typist.
