What Medical Records tech job are you doing now that only required a week of training? It must depend on the employer, and having your husband working at the same place probably helps, but I never “loved” it even though I had all the perks you are describing. I never felt respected or appreciated, it was a job that paid the bills and I couldn’t wait to get out. I always had on-site transcription jobs for larger employers, and actually felt better appreciated and respected as an MT. I’m wondering if it’s the pay and benefits you love and not the actual work, which over time became really tedious for me.
