Do you honestly think poor old Kyle would have been killed by a skateboard?
Apparently, some in the crowd saw him with the rifle and assumed he was one of these shoot up the crowd types, NOT a "protector" - who asked him to protect anything anyway? No proof of that anywhere.
If you saw someone with a rifle who looked like they were going to start shooting at a crowd, wouldn't you try to stop them?
Seems like he is equating them trying to take his gun with self defense. That is not self defense, that's gun defense. He killed them in defense of his gun's life, not his life!
Honestly, that judge loved Kyle so much that the trial was nothing but a farce.
