one page - resume

As a former advertising copywriter and 20+ year MT, I totally agree you can break the "one-page resume rule" if you do it right. Totally agree with the suggestions about formatting, but it comes down to readability.

Walk away and then come back to your resume and ask yourself: Would I read this whole thing?

Don't be afraid to throw away the "rules" and make your resume compelling (within reason). Even use personal anecdotes (briefly and...within reason).

HR people reading this stuff are bored to death. Make them sit up and smile. Worked for me, and that's all I'm saying:)
